yea by all mean make your feelings know to them but whydo stupid things like blocking traffic before the latics match???... what about all the inncocent shoppers on saturday afternoon? all around the saddle you're suggesting??? right near the police, fire and ambulance stations!!! what about the emergency sevices? heaven forbid there was a serious emergencey.... how would you feel if your loved ones were in a fire and the services couldnt get through because of this stupid action. I am not a troll... just a wigan fan of all teams who's trying to make a point.

good luck tonight
I have to agree with this to be honest. Blocking traffic before the match just seems a bit pointless, more than a little unfair and unfortunately a bit pathetic. Like a child throwing a tantrum because he can't get his own way.
Of course what has happened is wrong, but it is no fault of the Latics fans, or the Sunderland fans who could also get held up, which would be really unfair considering the distance travelled. We all know who is to blame so why end up taking it out on some families trying to get their kids down to the JJB for example.
Like it or not it has happened and there is no point causing disruption to people who aren't even involved.
I don't think any warriors supporter will actually do this sort of protest - I think it is just a way to vent their frustrations.

Good luck Sunderland
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I was planning to join the convoy but, with hindsight and after last nights celebrations I might just nip to Asda to see what is happening.

Previous poster was absolutely right. Emergency Services apart, what happened to us was not the fault of Latics supporters and it certainly had nowt to do with Sunderland people.

Lets all just sit back and bask in last night's glory!!

Just driven past the JJB and I'm pleased to report that traffic is free flowing as normal. In fact, its quieter than usual for a home game. All the expensive cars are parked on the Monty( some people have nerves of steel!) and no obvious signs of any protests.

Everyone I have spoken to agrees that last night's game, even with all the politics, was the best they had enjoyed in a long time!

Now if only the Wire can do the business.............!!!!

i was down on Robin park and there was no sign of any protests,

I think the smile on my sons face proudly wearing our shirts was enough to say up yours Whelan.

Good move by our fans to keep it peaceful today,

just bask in the glory of the victory
