Our supporters (albeit I had a dreadful woman in front of me) who were awesome (bouncy, bouncy lol) No Wigan Walk. The players who yes came up short but not through lack of effort. It was amazing at the end that Wigan fans were cheering the Wigan players with Trent, Mickey, Calders quite emotional. The Leeds fans were leaving as if they had lost.
N.B Not 100% sure but Trent kept shaking hands / hugging his teammates. He walked past Noble.

Re: Proud
Had about 20 mins in the second half where we looked knackered, and Leeds did the damage. Think teams only really have a chance of winning the final from first or second, but boy what a ride from the Wigan WARRIORS!!! Extremely proud and cant wait for next season!!!

I was immensely proud!! Leeds were the favourites and we didn't exactly show ourselves up!! Glad we scored that last try because think 18-8 wud have been quite flattering. Will keep bouncing into 2009!!

You can't win the play offs from fourth or below.
OK, we have been fantastic over these last three weeks but we still haven't met the best yet. To come off the back of these last three perfomances and compete at that intensity against the best team in Super League when they are fresh is going to end in tears.
To get to the next level we need to be competing for second place at least.
Still very proud of the progression we have made over the last few weeks.
Pity we could not have progressed on a week by week basis thoughout the season.

“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."

Re: Proud
I was immensely proud of our Warriors last night and would like to thank them for the great effort put into that marvellous game. Calderwood was incredible the trys he saved ....phew absolutely great.
A great big thank you to Trent, who will be missed terribly next season, for the pleasure and privilege of watching and having him play for Wigan.
To Mark Calderwood, you were never given the opportunity to play to your strengths, thanks.
And Mickey Higham, you were let down by the management but still gave 100% every game for Wigan, thanks.
To Liam Colbon, a Wigan lad who gave a big effort for his home town club, thanks.
GOOD LUCK to you all and Best Wishes for your respective futures.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
