Re: Respect
spot on god,we are being destroyed from within
Re: Respect
who gives a damn...you start caring and it fuels it. Ignore it and it slows and stops.
Re: Respect
wind your neck in. Its the way the world is. Rise above it and accept it instead of moaning about it. We moan for petty things when in reality our plights are pretty insignificant in the bigger picture of global issues.
Re: Respect
your a moron.
Its a global financial crisis. Just because companies target enthic minorities does not mean the only take on ethnic minorities. best man for the job will in most instances get the job regardless. To be honest you sound like a blatent racist. Someone who is from an ethnic background may well be 3rd generation British and is entitled to be treated a such.
My heads not up my arse thats why I can see instead of feeling sorry for myself and sulking about society instaed of getting on with it. There are always solutions it just means people getting off their arses and finding them instead of dwelling in self pity.
PC hasnt led to a knife culture. People have always carried knives from teddy boys to modern day idiots its just a lot more publisised nowdays.
Think you need to grow up a lot and realise its not a huge conspiracy its life!

Yes I bloody know transfer fees do not count on the salary cap for those illiterates that need it explaining to them because they assume everyone is as thick as they are

Re: Respect
Thanks for tha applause. Telling em to get my headout of my arse then taking offence to "moron" haha.
So now you are changing the countries issues into your own. You seeing people get killed in another country (you sound like you are in the amred forces) has nothing to do with equal oppertunities in the workplace or about dmoestic or the global financial crisis.
You are asking why goverment positions are encouraged to take on people with ethnic backgrounds. Its due to in the past people would be tunred down for these roles for being from these backgrounds. People were forced into communities due to the racist views of the country at the time. The government took these steps to try and restore faith in them and get more ethnic people into the workplace.
Now in a more equal environment people with ethnic backgrounds get treated the same and are assesssed on ability like everyone else. If they get taken on they are probably more suited to the job.
your own comments about your damning of people from ethnic backgrounds getting jobs in this country makes you sound racist as it should not matter where poeple come from.
My father who is finishing his 30 year stint int he police this year has told me knife crime has not got any worse as people have always carried them. Its in the news all the time nowdays due to public intrest in it and the goverments failed attempts to control it.

Re: Respect
Pedro, before you go any further I suggest you read this,
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2008/jun/0 ... fghanistan
Then tell the families it has nothing to do with freedom. I lived in an area where there were very few people from an ethnic background. As an employer I had constant reminders about hiring ehnic minorities, hiring women, hiring disabled. In the end I had three poles because there was no other. If a person has a job application in, and an ethnic minority applicant does apply if your firm meets the criteria you will be investigated as to why that EM's application failed. At interview you must log questions asked and answers given. Some questions are taboo. If an applicant turns out better qualified and fails to get the job there is a case to answer. It could be that the woman was 6 months pregnant but you break the law if fail to give her the job. Do not try to explai to some on here that the playing field is level. There are presure grous and councils lined up to prove the minorities are abused and downtrodden. Don't tell us that knife crime is not on the up. The carrying of knives may be level but the use and murders committed by them are certainly rising.
Yes god has stood up for his country as has Sutty and myself. I have been petrol bombed and shot at but even at the hight of the NI troubles there was an underlying respect that could be measured. Now due to lack of underlying discipline there is not respect for anyone, anything not even life itself. Selfish interest is the in thing protected from birth by law.

Re: Respect
A slight subject change on this that the war on terror in Afghanistan is a reason for there being no respect in our society.
I am a manager of a large retailer and know you have to put on the ethnic minority however it does not change the interview. Everyone is treated equally and fairly and know for a fact this is the case accross the campany. We are the largest employer in europe outside the government so know what I am getting at. It has been the same in every company I have worked for. If you have the interview fact based there is no case to answer as you have evidence as to why the applicant was unsuccesful, if you do not have the evidence you leave yourself wide open from anyone
Do not try and get my to say you are all right due to you all serving in a foreign country as society is now under the microscope and is being monitored more. In the 80's and 90's there were stabbings and murders galore but were taken as murders not as "victims of knife crime". Now if someone is stabbed they are under the spotlight and therefore get more press.
