Charity Shirts have Arrived!!

Post by ancientnloyal »

Wigan Warriors can confirm that the Charity Shirt has now finally arrived in the Warriors World store at Hilton Street.

Any fans that have pre-ordered the shirt can now collect from the Shop immediately. The store is open until 5pm today (23rd December) and from 9-3.30pm on Christmas Eve.

The Club have enrolled extra staff and will endeavour to do all it can via a Courier in the next 24 hours to deliver the shirts to those that have requested this option.

We would like to sincerely apologise to our supporters for the delay in arrival which was beyond the Club’s control. The shirt manufacturer KooGa have taken responsibility for this issue.

We thank you all for your patience.

Nobby's girl will be ok then, she'll have a tent to take to games next season.

If you take the shirt back to the store once it has arrived then you will be able to get a refund on the shirt not sure if you could get the full refund for posting or packaging costs.

Its a shame that Wigan had to make such a mess of the shirts this season, not having a sponsor by now for the main shirt is a major disappointment and on top of that the shirt meant as a temporary replacement isn't even ready for Christmas. On a more positive note the Wigan club and Mr Lenegan can only learn from this experience hopefully they will get the shirts for 2010 designed and made well in advance to avoid any delay.

I also hope they made some more Pink shirts for those who didn't get them first time around.

I hope they start to have one new strip a year instead of two. This year it will be three with the charity shirt! Thats 120 quid if you get all three, and what if here is more than one supporter in the family and they all want a shirt it is going to cost some poor beggar a fortune. It should be one year a new home strip and the next a new away. I know you will say that the club needs to generate income, but it is always the loyal supporters who have to pay thru' the nose and the corporate hangers on who get treated like royalty.

Bah humbug
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I too am very disappointed that my shirt didn't arrive on Christmas eve as promised on 3 occasions when I rang the shop up to check on status of delivery .

I'm wondering if anyone actually got it delivered

I ordered the charity shirt weeks ago. I was told on Xmas Eve it would be delivered by courier. It never arrived. Phoned the shop this morning and I was assured it would be delivered today. At 2.30 phoned the shop again and was told it was in the shop and never been on a van. It was the 5th call to shop and it was Joyce who sorted it for us. There were other shirts in the shop waiting to be picked up as well. We were told that all shirts would be delivered but apparently they werent.

glad i am not the only person that has had not got there charity top i was also told that it would be delivered today but still no sign of it my wife went to the shop to collect it on christmas eve to be told that it went out by courier on tuesday if i find out that it is still in the shop on monday i will not be amused .I think that as a gesture of goodwill that the club should play there first home game at the jjb in the pink shirts so those fans who didnt get to wear them for the wires game can wear the charity shirt. what does everyone else think.
