Re: Wigan vs Wakey Reactions
I could not get to the game today....How did Smith look.. I said last year he would be to slow going forward.. So how did he do?
Re: Wigan vs Wakey Reactions
Tim Smith is a talented RL player. Unfortunately, he cannot play as he wants to or how the team needs him to. He is very unfit and blows after any involvement.
The club are not being honest with fans. This boy has real issues and he still has them. If you could select a person to add to those issue you could not get better than Piggy.
Tragic

Re: Wigan vs Wakey Reactions
before kick off i said to my mates that we would only just win or lose because this year this team is weaker, higham is better than riddel, barrett well i dont need to say anything, we've released more than what we brought in, the pack has never been improved, we've still got mathers at fullback, and i thought all this added up to a team with no leadership, no idea in attack, no communication between backs and forwards and finaly we've still got a crap coach who also has no idea about modern rugby!
reaction to the game NOT SUPRISED we were truly awful, just what i said above and ive had enough of watching the same old crap week in week out (bar the play offs and the odd game)

Mmmmmm, doesnt sound good..... Come on you rose tinters, surely one of you must have something to say about our fab team in a positive way.... If no one does then Im really getting worried about this team..
Re: Wigan vs Wakey Reactions
So much for optimism. The forwards worked hard, but were clearly following orders for one-out football; on the few occasions they did offload, no-one was ready in support. No creativity at half back, although it got better when TL moved to hooker.
Consequently, the backs rarely saw the ball except when tidying up after Mathers, who had probably his worst game ever (and that's a hard act to follow).
Too many handling errors, yet again, and far too many wrong options taken in good attacking positions (especially early in the tackle count).
Surely, not even Noble can justify sticking with Mathers after that?
The best team won; in fact the scoreline flattered us, I thought - we were lucky not to be 20-0 down at half time.

The best form of defence is attack!!

Re: Wigan vs Wakey Reactions
for the life of me i cannot understand why there is so much suprise about today?
Me and my other half didn't renew our season tickets due to lack of money. . .
Personally i wasn't all too gutted. I've told people all winter i wouldn't be buying a season ticket with this crop of players under the current management. . .
Unfortunately i wasted £11 today.
Never mind, if we win the next two, 10,000 in the stands will forget today and last seasons examples and we'll be the best team around! I do not miss those fans!

:eusa2: welcome to the site and good post.I am struggling to come to terms with Noble's thinking today,we had on hooker in the team and when he went off we had to make 4 positonal changes (tommy to 9,lockers to 6,smith to 7 then tomkins to 13) and put players 4 payers out off positions when there was no need to.ANDYBAR wrote:![]()
Ricie mather is an absolute liability....has been since he came and was today......again. His positional play, ability as a full back is none existant.......why didn't we keep Higham and spend on a reliable full back.......

Thought Roberts was a speedster. If so, thought that you need a quality centre outside of them. Remember Offiah and Gene Miles. Nobby chooses Phelps ..... :conf:
