Dear Mr Noble,
I think I may have the answer to your problems. In any walk of life communication is of paramount importance, and the understanding of what the message is trying to convey essential.
I went to school in one of the most productive rugby league nurseries in the country St John Fisher which has produced such great players as Shaun Edwards, Mike Gregory, and laterly the Tomkins boys. Although I played rugby myself, unfortunately I was not talented enough to play professionally, but I would have walked over hot coals to wear the Wigan shirt.
Anyway to possibly help you with the communication issue. Some of the guys that I played rugby with weren’t the smartest lads, and maybe being an ex player yourself together with some of the squad members you may also fall into this bracket. So let me clear up a few misconceptions of a few words that apparently certain members of the current squad don,t appear to understand;
PRIDE – not a posh tart in a white frock at a wedding
BALL HANDLING – nothing to do with putting hands down your shorts.
TACKLE – not a testicular description
LEADERSHIP – not the boat at the front of the convoy
EFFORT – not a big building with a drawbridge
LOYALTY – not to be taken for granted if you don’t know the meaning of all of the above.
TACTICS – not little white mints you shake in a plastic box.
Once you all understand the true meaning of these words maybe the club can begin to move forward. Furthermore Brian, if you cannot motivate or get your players to carry out your wishes to the letter, rather than have their own agendas to quote you from weekend, then do the NOBLE thing resign and let someone come into the club who can.
Extremely disillusioned and pissed of Private Ryan

Two Eyed Warrior - Did you pay for your season ticket by Visa? If so, you could return your season ticket and claim they are faulty goods!!!
