Offer him £350k/year to match what he is getting from Wasps+Wales and his Wigan roots will do the rest, and the coachs salary doesn't count under the salary cap rules.

But it would have to come out of IL pocket and he seems to have deep pockets & short arms

However, enough is enough!
I wasn't over the moon when Mike Gregory was appointed Wigan coach, but look at the job he did with the kids.
Shaun Wane has grown up in the same mould and the same attitude as Mike Greg. He has the kids in the academy playing some great rugby. Give it to him until the end of the season. If things aren't working out:
1. We aren't going to be relegated.
2. We aren't going to go backwards from where we are now.
3. We have time to tap up a big name Aussie if they are coming out of contract.
4. We will see some Wigan lads playing for Wigan because they are deemed good enough, not because an overseas player is injured.
I agree with Shaun Wayne but does he not have a good full time job thats why he is not assistant coach.

Ellery Hanley = New Coach

Why not? He would make them work hard and be proud to wear the Wigan shirt.

If there was anybody I would want as a Wigan coach if Nobby is released it would be SHAUN WANE he has more enthusiasm for this club than I do (and thats saying something)  and, like me is Wigan through and through :)
I am also on board to join the Shaun Wane Campaign :D
