Ainscough and what fans need to realise
Re: Ainscough and what fans need to realise
Noble doesn't seem to know anybody he doesn't see on Setanta.
Shaun Wane does.

I was more than impressed with Mr Ainscough tonight. Certainly in my opinion (barring injury) should be one of the first names on the sheet. Does his running style remind anyone else of a certain young J.Robinson that graced our wing many years ago??

Re: Ainscough and what fans need to realise
That Lad and many of his team mates must be brought up and allowed to play, He was great really made my night him scoring. Mr NOBLE and MR L take note, we want to see more like this in our team.
Pride and Passion thats all we want and he certainly showed it. Lets just hope he's not pushed aside when Phelps back and gets discouraged like many before him.

personally id like to see mossop/farrell/flanagan play next week if hocky is injured. these lads deserve the chance to represent the club
sam must play! mcillorum or tim smith to drop out in my opinion!

McLlorum is playing well. Flannagan is only at the club because his dad is best mates with Noble.
One strange part about last night. Ainscough is normally a right winger and Pryce is very left sided yet we play them on the opposite wings.
Ainscough and Stanton should have been our wingers at the back end of 2008 with Pat at fullback. The club could have had 2 left centres in Carmont and Thornley and 2 right centres in Goulding and Roberts. The dross, the Mathers, Phelps were never ever needed.
Even last night had Stanton still been here he would have kicked the goals. Vievers could have played FB with Pat out and kicked the goals too. Sam T is a reasonable kicker also.

Just remember that just like JTomkins in 2008 luck got Ainsy an opportunity last night. Without it Noble would never have selected him.
Re: Ainscough and what fans need to realise
You're absolutely right. I remember John Monie dropping Hanley and Goodway when he first came to the club because they were getting too big for their boots and challenging his authority. The response spoke for itself. When was the last time Noble dropped any super star!cpwigan wrote:Just remember that just like JTomkins in 2008 luck got Ainsy an opportunity last night. It's not a planned event blooding our youngsters, it's a complete lottery!

:eh: Did Monie drop Hanley and Goodway?TWO EYED WARRIOR wrote:DOD, its called trust and its obvious very few of the players trust Noble. The man is here to secure his pension and for that reason i can probably understand why IL will stick it out until the end of the year, but the one thing he is doing is playing a dangerous game with the Wigan fan base.Doveoverdave wrote:I don't!R Douglas wrote: You're absolutely right. Re: Ainscough and what fans need to realise
I was at Deanery in the mid to late eighties when it was the topic of conversation in the changing room before one of our games. Can't remember if one them ended up playing or both were dropped, at the time we were worried that Hanley would go. It may have been Lowe not Monie. It definitely happened.
