I'd keep most, to be honest.

Pryce, Riddell and Smith get till the end of the season to show what if anything they can do - mostly in the reserves.

Keep the rest, apart from Mathers, Coley and Phelps.

Two other possibles, purely based on hypothetical wages, would be Bailey and Fielden - if they're on a high wage as we suspect, then get rid or renegotiate lower.

But, and it's a big but, they need to be given a game plan that will play to their strengths, not their weaknesses as at present.

Whats a forum for, to pat each other on the back and say how great we are. We have huge issues at our club. I've been to Wakey and Cas and I would never give abuse to one of my players at a game where it might 'affect them' - this is the best place to do it surely. I apologise that I don't rate Bailey higher than average and I think Smith is being limited by Nobles tactics but if I can't discuss it on here Where can I

Riddell!! FFS get a grip, it wasn't that long a go that people on this very forum were calling for Richard's head. Micky Higham also come in for some serious critism for much of his Wigan career yet anyone would think he's the greatest hooker in the last 10 years.

Saying that; Coley, Phelps, Bailey & Mather's can go. Smith needs to prove his worth but I remember what he use to be like so it's worth trying.

god its never very often i agree with you ,but you are spot on with this 1 mate.Team confidence is low and they see us fickle fans asking who we shopuld get rid of.Let me say this thay are all contracted to us and will be here till the end of ths season.Yes we are all on a low but this is the team we have got and my god this is the team im going to try and support even if its only me josie and GOD lol we do need his help pmsl

How the hell can you say gaz hock, amos roberts and sean o loughlin should not be playing for wigan ? ?

Gaz Hock - sometimes clumbsy but whos not? very strong robust attacking forward with a bit more back up can create a lot of havock, defo should be in the squad.

Amos Roberts - Only bloody played 3 games for god sake, and i think bar ainscough was one of our better players against cas, took a lot of hit ups and positioned hiself well, also good in support, what do ya want after 3 games ?? talkin crap thee!

Sean o Loughlin - is it just me or before he was given the captaincy wasnt everyone saying how good lockers is ? still a very good player, good in defence and support just got too much on his shoulders coz you lot are still living in the land of andy farrell, give him a break, yes i agree to young for captain but still a very good player!

I agree that you shouldn't boo your own players or abuse them at a game but surely the whole point of a forum is that you can express your opinions - good or bad. I'm not for one to slag of players but a few of these guys have a problem with passion. They are playing for argubably the best club in World RL history.

Everyone is entitled to their view

The purpose of the thread is to collectively see who the fans generally think is up to it and who is not. The odd anomaly is irrelevant.

If a player is chosen as one to keep by nearly everybody then it is a confidence boost.

If nearly everybody says a player is not good enough then a good player will prove them wrong.

People jump in with both feet when the thread will actually be a very positive one because most fans would keep 80%+ of the players.
