was listening to lots of Blackfoot when i first came online, Aol kept adding 47 numbers after every screen name i picked, so for the 12th time i picked Medlocke (Rickey Medlocke Guitar/Vocals Blackfoot), i started using it on Myspace and it stuck.

Did PhD in Chemistry then moved into the chemical industry. Started at the same time as a number of other PhD Chemists. As having so many new faces taxed the brains of the Plant Operators too much, trying to remember all our names, they called us all Doc.

We later got given other nicknames:

Mine was Rochdale Cowboy (never been so insulted)

John got Rasputin

Kev got Beaker

Dave got Penfold

Little Rob got Millhouse

Could have been worse; one of the Shift Supervisors was called Peter Blowman. I'll let you guess his nickname.
