o'loughlin is not good enough to play in super league,, but he is not alone ,,,, fielden is a complete waste of a kit, then again the kit is wasted on most of the team, at this rate it will be a lower league next season

Good post Reveezie. We were outplayed by a great side hitting their form.
We did badly miss a true captain though. Another of those occasions where as the game went on nobody was leading the team.
Lockers is useless at speaking to the players. Riddell seems to have a good go but when he's off the pitch there's nobody standing up and taking charge.

Do agree Neil, there is a problem with lack of leadership at times, I do like Sean, but Captain quality he is not im afraid, no offence to him personaly but you either got it or you aint...... :conf:

Two names come to mind for captain and only two. Fielden and Bailey and you lot want them both dropped. Nobody but nobody holds a position for 4 years if he is not worth his coin. The captaincy goes right through the full spectrum not just 80 minutes on the field. It will be inteesting to see how Barrett gets on this season in NRL. Lyons went back MOS and king of the crop to be a bit part player in a higher standard game. As I have said all along on the pitch Barrett was a hindrence to Wigan's game. To much I in team. Leeds last night showed what happens when a team using first available as dummy half does to the opposition. Everything centred on Barrett and as a right side player it drew WW into the strongest part of the opposition. The natural position for a team to move is left. When Barrett was not there WW scored on the left more often than not. Great individual player. Lockers on the other hand is not so interested in self glory but to a man he has the respect of that crew.
Maybe not the best captain but ceratinly the best we have available,
If you disagree name your choise,
Jimbo

as for the game i thought after a bad start when leeds could do no wrong we battled well and got some shocking calls against us at a vital time when although 16 points behind we were still in the game.their first try included two forward passes, peacock did not ground the ball as we had a hand under it benefit of the doubt my backside and i`m not convinced scott donald did`nt knock on for another try, but to not go to the video ref was an absolute joke.
yes they out played us early on they got on a roll got some luck executed well and were hard to stop but the scoreline does`nt reflect the game,
so please bear that in mind before you all hammer the team as usually happens after a defeat.
nice post...totally agree........

He is not a bad player just an easy target for fans.

Completely agree with that, we'd all be calling for him to be Man of Steel if he weren't captain.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I'm going to lock this thread for the following reasons.
1. We have a multitude of threads already about how the team is performing.
2. some of the comments are totally banal are are obviosuly put in by people who are either typing out of anger, or don't have a clue (just check lockers tackle count for an example, before you make inane comments like a waste of oxygen).
3. If you want to have a pop at anyone regarding how we performed against Leeds, check the mount of ball stealing, not square, lying on and generaly poor calls were made that certainly didn't help the cause (and don't start me on the 2 forward passes that lead up to the first try)
