Wigan RL are a bunch of left wingers!!

Not politically BUT when you watch take a note of how much play now goes down the left hand side compared to the right. In many respects it is to be expected because passing from right to left is generally prefereed by 80%+ of players but at Wigan when Trent was here we had a very right sided playmaker, yet even Trent would often go left because our best runner of the ball is Gaz Hock and he is left sided. It has minus Trent become more pronounced and if you take notice Mark Riddell is very left sided too. His great run v Bradford was down the left, v Salford he darted down the left and to be fair to the Pigster he put a great miss pass to Ainscough for one of the tries.

Does it matter? Not greatly nless you get a clever team that stacks the right defence or is strong on that side. Leeds? The one thing that does matter is fans need to understand and recognise this trend when judging whomever plays down the right side. Amos is not likely to score many tries on the right wing. Indeed it is great credit to Sam Tomkins that he has carved out his own opportunities down the right hand side despite being a left sided playmaker.

Surely it's more to do with attacking a defending teams weaker spots?

It should be, and with any other coach probably would, but we play that way against everyone. Surely not every team are weakest down their right?

Was noted against Salford last week, i think Pryce was starting to think the side dont actually like him.

To be honest, Bailey isnt going to create anything though is he?

It should be but it rarely works that way. As an example when we played Leeds we should have been attacking Burrow, Watkins, Hall down our right side but instead we ran left v McGuire/Sinfield, Gibson, Donald.

There is also an argument for even switching players so that Hock runs at Burrow for example or running moves where say Feka runs at Burrow / Long / Briers etc etc.

It is down to how easy it is passing ball right to left.

As i play rugby myself i noticed this when playing right centre and also when i was playmaker.
