Wigan to sign Gleeson?

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Hoping it could be Mathers going. I am thinking there is a Smith-Mathers connection dating back to their Leeds days.

It is true and it is for next season. Maybe Wigan will play him at stand off rather than centre.

heard it will be gleeson for mathers and hell be playing next week.

Its all very well having a good centre, but how often do we play rugby that enables centres and wingers to be in space ?

waste of money tbh

CP can you have a word and get them to sign him for this year?

Also what have you heard in terms of players going to Wire?

Announcement...?
I think you just read an unofficial one. cp has more contacts than a wigan winger with the ball - apparently

Mathers is definetly going to Wire. Trying to find out if that will be this season or next.

So you reckon Gleeson will only join us next season but Mathers may go straight away?

Any other players involved?

Mathers' wage £60k? with this reported £20,000 spare we could get a half decent guy (or girl, you never know) in if Gleeson is for next season.

At this stage all I know is that Gleeson is at Wigan in 2010 and Mathers will be a Wire (might be 2009 or 2010)

Personally, I would prefer Steve Price (out of contract with the Warriors at the end of this season, poor age but a leader and ultra consistent week in week out) Alternatives Dave Taylor (Broncos) or Andrew Cuthbertson (Many). Tamana tahu (centre) went to Aus RU but now desparate to return to League. Terry Campese (Stand off)

British players? Richie Myler and/or Andy Lynch.
