i'm not so sure about a coach who blames the opposition for his own teams loss. i think nobby has just jumped on the terry matterson band wagon.Maybe he could have come up with a game plan of his own instead of slagging off their tactics.

I was going to start a thread in a similar vein to this one, but seeing that this is on here goes!
1) In last nights Wigan Evening Post, back page, it quotes Brian Noble as saying "They are very efficient (Huddersfield) and they've a few things going on defensively that we have to be very careful of".

What's that all about?

Is that an excuse to say if we don't score, that is the reason for not doing so?
Is it a reason to say we have not got an attacking move in our heads to break through and score?
Why do we have to be careful of a defence? It's at the other end of the field (their attack) that we had to be careful of,
Answers on a postcard to Mr B Noble, c/o JJB Stadium, Wigan.

2) As I was walking off (after their second late try, as it seems to be an issue), I got in a conversation with an old gentleman, late 60's early 70's, on a pension anyway, the conversation went like, I said "That is the future that is" meaning the type of rugby that was produced by our team, he said, "That is the past, I'm a season ticket holder, and it's the last match that I am going to, to watch that lot".

Now in my mind for an old age pensioner to forego the use of his season ticket, which is say, a lot of his annual income, says a lot for the type of drivel that is being served up.

Please take note Mr Lenigan, as has been said on this thread previously us fans are walking away and will not be coming back, we do not like being "done" out of hard earned cash by what is being served up by your company in the guise of WRLFC. Get rid of the head coach Mr B Noble, then maybe you, Mr Lenigan, can come out of the season with some sort of honour

As I live in Germany I listened to the commentary via 't'Internet' - good commentary, crap game! I was also watching Saints vs Wakefield at the same time! When Wigan 'bombed' the next-to-last try I switched off.
My impression of the game, without being there, was a lot of knock-ons, giving away penalties, bombing good try scoring opportunities and getting sucked into diversionary spoiling tactics i.e. playing into Huddersfield's hands by losing concentration. Am I right?
As Barack Obama said (maybe) " Time for change, change we can".

Bri basically yes. What happened was Huddersfield made lots of mistakes in the first half but gradually reduced their mistakes and played more conservative because they had the lead and the conditions required it.

Sorry Eaststandfaithful, was commenting on Big John:
"There is only so much bu**sh** people will take before they go and spend their money elsewhere.
It is a general rant to all those who leave.

Due to sky sports and "Super League" viewers are expected to double in the next decade. Sky did the same with the premiership, now we have the biggest and richest league in the world. I imagine it wont be long before the NRL are in Superleagues shadow.

Even on the telly Stevo and Clarky talk of the wigan walk.
Its embarrasing that this is what wigan are going to be known for globally, not their glittering history.

We have a squad capable of a top 4 finish and to be consistant. The last 3 seasons Wigan have played the same boring rugby it's got annoying. Noble is doing nothing and the life supporters have had enough of tis non-changing attitude that our club is doing. We are failings, our attendances are falling, we cant even get replica shirts out in time.

We need the change in coaching first off.

Weare all ancient and loyal but we aren't gullible.

clipper... bbc gmr radio mentioned after huddersfield's penultimate try "And that signals the Wigan Walk"... and repeated again for their last try "The wigan walk is in full flow"

annoying as it is, it's true.

I feel we are being a little harsh on BN. Last year and the year before we didnt finish third in the regular season but only two teams had done better in the playoffs.

It has been a strange start to the superleague this year and the whole point of having 14 teams and stopping relegation is to make it much tighter for the two at the top. No games are certain victories anymore. Are wigan playing worse or are other teams just playing better?

Wigan are without talisman Barrett and we must bear in mind that we have had our regular full back missing, Pat has had to cover there leaving two wingers who have never played in the wigan side till this season.
BN should be given some credit, the signing of Amos Roberts has been inspirational if his recent performances are anything to go by and BN is never afraid to play youth.
Playing young lads is of the upmost importance for the future of the superleague, the nation team and the future success of wigan rugby.

Noble has never been a man with too much consistency but has a huge playoff pedigree, who has more playoff experience? probably only Daniel Anderson, do you seriously think he would come to wigan? or would he even be welcome?

I think that with the relatively new team we possess the only chance of us reaching the playoffs and doing well is BN.

I sincerely hope that this regular full back you refer to doesn't go by the name of Mathers who couldn't stop a paper bag in a breeze and is a target for any opposition team should he appear. Pat Richards has played his best at full back ad to me this is his best position,he makes Richie look like a joke.
As BN not being afraid to play youth I can't help thinking that if it wasn't for the constant pressure from fans to play the youngsters they would be drawing their pension before they got a game. I just hope that they don't get their enthusiasm curbed when they have their opportunity.
