Possible jail sentence for Pryce and Reardon
Re: Possible jail sentence for Pryce and Reardon
Had the confrontation occurred in a public place, then it is unlikely that this would have reached court. However forcing entry into someone's house (in the US it's called home invasion) is taken very seriously; as everyone should be able to feel safe in their home - it sounds like they are being punished for the intent; rather than the injuries they caused.
Lots of people experience messy relationship break ups and they don't go around to someone's house looking to start a fight.
If they had come to my house looking for trouble then I would have been made sure I had something more effective than a rounders bat in my hand. What was the bloke Pryce attacked suppose to do? Run away from the house and hide?
Considering Pryce already has form for violence; he is unlikely to get away with community service - frankly it sounds like he needs to be taught a lesson and a couple of weeks in the big house will probably be just what he needs.

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

Its just unfortunate that Long,Graham,Cunningham,Wellens,Roby and Puletua werent involved so they could all go to jail and we could possibly and i emphasise possibly beat Saints on the 9th.

I like the one from the weekend with some reference to the shower.GeoffN wrote:And a new song for the Saints game:

Gareth Thomas before his first game: "You wanna spend 10 mins getting smashed up by these guys..Big dudes here.."

Well if Cockayne can get off with a suspended sentence after punching and kicking someone in the head i'm sure these two will not go to jail

The RFL have said that they might also punish cockayne and the guy from cas(he has now been sacked).
If they do this they MUST continue to do this to all players who conduct themself in this manner and bring the game into disrepute regardless of who they play for.
My point is that Pryce and Reardon must be dealt with in the same way as these two lesser known players(no disrespect meant) by the RFL

Re: Possible jail sentence for Pryce and Reardon
Cockayne and Feka's incidents happened in public - forcing entry into a private residence to beat up the occupants is normally an automatic custodial sentence. Throw in that Pryce has form...God wrote:The difference with Cockayne is that he was provoked just like Feka. I was right with what Feka got and im sure im going to be right with what Reardon and Pryce are going to get.
Reardon and Pryce broke into a house by allegidly kicking the door in, Reardon was supposed to have assaulted his estranged wife and Pryce was alledged to have beaten up her lover.
Ryan Bailey and Chev walker were jailed for less.
IMO 18 month, out after 6 months for good behaviour.
Anyway, when are they being sentenced?
