He must play the lad as much as possible, without jepodising his fitness of course.
It's clear he wants to play and is on his way to be a great player, he best not drop him nor let him go off on loan anywhere.
I am rapidly losing patience with mr noble about losing our young players . I really hope he's not offered a new contract at the end of season.
That is another thing that impresses me about this youngster. He is keen for work, and is not frightened to run up the middle of the field, and even when we are being hammered, i.e, Catalan on Easter Monday, he still neevr gave up.

The problem I have with Noble keeping Ainscough's feet on the ground is he appears very reluctant to be positive. It's all very well saying he is a "work in progress" and words like that but when a player scores four tries and is the leagues top try scorer it wouldn't hurt for Noble to phrase things a little more positively than feel the need to qualify any praise by mentioning some negative.
It could end up being very discouraging. It was bad enough he was going to be dropped two games in a row but when he gets to play purely because of absentees he still can't get away without the less good aspects of his game getting mentioned in the press despite scoring 4 tries!
Dropping him is the other aspect of Noble's handling of Ainscough I don't like. He really does believe this duty of care thing IMO to the extent it is not beyond the realms of possibility he will be dropped again next week.
If after scoring four you get dropped for a big game next week, what sort of reward is that? Hopefully Noble will find it impossible to drop him but it wouldn't surprise me if he is not happy at being put in such a position by the young player.

It must be discouraging for Ainscough as it is, because (I know we don't know what was said to him by Noble in the dressing rooms after the game) he would be in the changing rooms being personally on top of the world because we have won and he has scored four tries, only for Noble to bring him crashing own to earth, by still insisting on negatives!!!!
I don't want Ainscough to be dropped next week, but I wouldn't put it past our coach. If Noble isn't happy at being put in such a position with a player, then he shouldn't pick him, but he is in a situation where no matter whether Ainscough does good or bad, then Noble will be prepared to drop him.

It's more than just the four (could easily have been more) tries, his overall performance (and attitude) was excellent apart from maybe one or two errors. He was also constantly running the ball in hard, I think Mike B already mentioned one particular play where he caught a high ball and beat off 3 or 4 tacklers running it back half the length of the pitch, and he was doing the "hard yards" like Brett Dallas used to do (and copping a couple of high shots like Brett, too!).
His enthusiasm lifts the players around him, too. I'd put him on the potential "future captain" list, along with Sam T.

That's a big call on a young lads shoulders there GeoffN. I can see you being right with this kid though.
So, he's a bit like Jason Robinson, and a bit like Brett Dallas, (with the high shots copped as well)?

Credit Brough for the two tries scored on Ainscoughs wing, they were both inch perfect to Blanch and were unstoppable. We cannot make him captain though, I am a great supporter but the lad is embarrassing when he is interviewed on Tv although to be fair ha wasn't half as bad at Les Cats as he was at London. Has to be Sam Tomkins for captain in a couple of years.

He is not used to being interviewed though to be fair.
Somebody explain why he even needs to mention publically that young players need to work on their weaknesses. It is common sense. I am not a coach but just by watching both young players I could tell you they had things to work on just as any players does. Guess what, I can pick weaknesses in Ellery Hanley, Andy Gregory and Shaun Edwards but it would be pathetically churlish and make me look like a prat.
Whatsmore, why/how are older players exempt? Stuart Fielden has serious weaknesses. His weaknesses are far more important to the whole team but they are never acknowledged or challenged by Numpty.
All this feet on the ground nonsense? You can do that without dropping young players at every opportunity. It backfired with Ashton.
I keep thinking just how many more talented young players are we keeping back and for what? Bailey? Just using him as an example.
Somebody tell me why a coach whines about the Easter Schedule and yet ignores it as an opportunity to freshen the squad up. Maybe just maybe 2 more youngsters would have given the team a huge lift v Catalan. Youngsters never let you down for effort and enthusiasm.
