If Noble can name 19, play two in the reserves, and call in another what is the point. It is handy for the prediction league but has little value elsewhere. Could RL bring charges against Wigan re "not it the spirit of the game" by using the 19 as a bluff?

What is the point of the 19
Re: What is the point of the 19
Teams are allowed to make changes to the named 19 man squad if a player in the 19 is unable to play.
Carmont was unable to play so he was replaced by Shaun Ainscough, nothing wrong with that and the players dropped for the game get to play in the reserves.
I think there is a rule that prevent players playing in the reserves and the first team in the same weekend.

I agree. I have often thought that the 19 man squad thing is a farce and in reality it seems to mean nothing.highland convert wrote:If Noble can name 19, play two in the reserves, and call in another what is the point.
