Piggy is not a bad hooker,he has played in the NRL very successfully for a long time.He is playing very poorly and seems unfit,therefore the question is why? What has happened to him to bring about this change?

Unfortunately Piggys career has been on a downward spiral well before Wigan signed him. In his last season with Parra he was sometimes playing second fiddle to a rookie 9. Maybe a young Piggy could play well despite living an unprofessional lifestyle at St George but age catches up with such people far quicker. When he arrived at Wigan his knees were in a poor state.

DV was successful in the NRL until injury and Wigan signed him post injury and we know the story with DV.

Let's get back to basics. Noble plays up the middle and wants a good pack dominating the game. We had Fielden, Coley and Feka. PP as our 4th prop. Wires had Carvell, Morley, Rauhihi. Those 3 handled our 4 too easily, especially in 2nd half. They each made yards. Ours didn't. In addition,why did BN select Ainscough when he knew that King was back? No prizes there, being 6'6" against 5'8". We were lucky that Briers first 2 kicks to King were poor.

What was the master stroke was swapping King to right wing from his usual left position. His height dominace was there for all to see and a great coaching call from Smith to do that.
I don't suspect that anybody for a second would have expected that, the shock swap would have given Wigan no time to prepare to do the same!

It takes less than a minute to get an instruction on the pitch. It was a very good decision by Smith and woeful ineptitude by Noble.

Unlike yourself I day say before the match had taken place that I feared if Ainscough was placed against King and IIRC You with the other Wire fasntatics have abused King non stop and called for him to be sent home.

Many of our after-match comments have pointed out that Nobby was out-coached (and not for the first time). You're not telling us anything we don't already know!

Matt Kings master stroke this season will be the woeful amount of tries he scores against those that Shaun Ainscough scores, in comparrison to matches played.
