this is not a problem just associated with wigan, it is a problem throughout the sport in general, other players have just been lucky though, for us all to get on gaz's case is wrong, i understand peoples frustration at wot he as done to himself and the club and fans and people have there own opinions and are entitled to voice them but this happens week in week out which is why certain players have hung there boots up from international games. if rfl tested every player for every team week in week out we would soon see how big the prob is, i no this is LONG winded and the PRYCE gaz will pay is hefty if b test proves positive but we all live and learn

Doesn't matter how many others are or aren't doing it. If, say, you got done for speeding would you try to temper it by saying everyone else does it too?

Gaz Hock has lived a very complicated life. Quite unlike many of us ever have, ever will. The irony is that he went went on the wagon, alcohol for a month + pre season and has been tested nearly a dozen times in the last 2 years all negative. Why this happened now, who knows.

Personally, I think as a club this sends a wake up call re the standards required and lest we forget the standards required in professional sport are umpteen levels higher than what many of us live by. Your son / daughter will come across drugs and people including friends taking drugs far more than you ever realise. Anybody who has been to University, supposedly for the great and the good, knows how rife drugs are within those establishments.

It does not make it right nor does it change what has happened if confirmed.

What we do need to do is stand by our club because there will be many who will use this to try to damage our club. That dos not means fans cannot criticise players etc, because they need to reach the standards of Wigan RLFC and those standards need to be set out again. We cannot accept anything less because when we do we get days, months, seasons like this. However, at matches we need to be loud and vocal in our support, when non Wigan fans criticise us we need to defend Wigan RLFC.When the chips are down we need need to dig deep.

We got hammered 70+, we got hauled over the coals for cheating the cap, we nearly got relegated and we responded as Wiganers. We need to do that now.

I know Bowtun, I know. We cannot say anything though here but he had seemed to be turning a corner, to have matured until this. Not a lot I can say.
