Don't defend FEka just becasue he's a wigan player. He was convicted of a violent crime, despite the best efforts of his employers. If you ask me, his work visa should have been revoked on the spot and he should have been deported after he had served his community service. I doubt he will be able to get an extended work visa even now.
The same goes for anyone else convicted of a violent crime. Don't defend them, they are thugs.

I think it is pretty certain had Feka been convicted of this in Nz before coming here he would not have got a visa despite the fact he was provoked.
The anomaly I see though is players are being refused visas because of criminal records but the game still allows those here already to play and of course it allows British players to continue to play who also have convictions against them. Players like Pryce and Feka are or have been playing the game while still serving their sentences of community service or whatever so it is not as if they have paid their dues, they were still paying them!

My sentiments exactly. I was disgusted when Bird was announced as playing last night; I wasn't even aware he had been releasaed on appeal. Catalans should hang their head in shame for supporting him in this way!
It occurred to me that had Hock glassed someone in public rather than snort a line in private, he might have mad MoM last night!!
