I dont believe he made 1 takle and was responsible for putting us on the back foot,he is a luxury we cant afford.I also blame Noble for not realising that in hot and tirring conditions Feka would be of no use to us,he looked tired as soon as he came on.Why drop Mossop who has really impressed in deffence and stick with a player who cant deffend.Who ever watched saints game can see it was strong Huddersfield deffence which won that game, and we should have done the same against Warrington
There is no reason Paleasina could not, and should be much fitter than he is.
With a stone and a half off in weight he would still be difficult to stop, and his defence might be a dammed site better.
Surely there are better training options to help improve his fitness, or is it just a bad attitude to training with him.

I literally can't believe that we're still having discussions about Fekas weight / fitness now. The past couple of comments are practically word for word re-hashes of threads that have come up at this time of year for the past 3 years.

I know the club do monitor key stats for players (weight, BMI, body fat %) but can't understand when the needle on the scales starts creeping right the club don't do something with him. Given the repetitive nature of this problem, it's obvious that Wigan are either unable or unwilling to address this problem for whatever reason.

I'll help the club - DO THESE in the off season. Get him in with a nutritional expert to come up with a workable diet that gives him a slight lack of fat calories. Not much otherwise his training will be knackered. Buy Feka a decent bike and a heart-rate strap. On top of his normal training get him to ride a bike for a minimum of 5 hours a week at a pace where his HR doesn't go above 125 bpm. This will be easy on his joints and will also up his calorie deficit by several 000 a week and not impact on his normal training because the pace is too slow. Next buy him some Alli. It's sports legal and not amphetamine based like some of the other diet aids. 1/3 of his fat calories will be shat out.

BTW, the above applies to Karl pryce and to a lesser extent Mark Riddell. We could start the season with players who look more the business then???

Couldnt agree more Rich.
If Paleasina is dedicated and becomes fit he would be more of a handful.
I would rather have him in my team than the opposition if that were the case.

That's what would worry me more than anything. If we let him go to somewhere like Huddersfield, who have a decent fitness program, I know he'll come back to haunt us.
