Sam was nearly "polished off" by the disgusting late hit by Mitchel Sargent. It reminded me when Dean Sampson did the same to Adrian Lam in attempt to stop his game. It was a straight red card and I can't believe that he was allowed to continue.
He shouldn't play again for Cas this season; he could have easily broken Sam's jaw. But you can bet the RFL will do nothing and pretty much endorse teams trying to win the games on the back cheap thuggery against younger players.
Sam T is a lefty

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

Phil Clarke and Barrie Mac were saying a lot of good things about our reserves; Mellor & Davies in particular. Nice to see even the Sky muppets are saying how Sam wouldn't have played if Smith hadn't got injured, and BN tries to wriggle out of it by saying Sam would have played anyway...yeah right.
Re: Sam T is a lefty
It seems noble has real problem praising our young lads. Despite the fact they have probably givenw him his new contract. Sam played well last nite. So did our other young uns. But still no praise it's like he has to find fault. Wonder if he'd do that to fielden or price.

I have seen Ganson send people off for LESS thatn that late challenge on Sam last night.Matthew wrote:Sam was nearly "polished off" by the disgusting late hit by Mitchel Sargent. It was as bad as the Howell one on Sam against Harlequins a few weeks ago.
Re: Sam T is a lefty
I agree with Cherry and as Sam said it was not the first and it will not be the last.
I was just so glad to see Sam get to play left side. The tries he scored last night were carbon copys of those he scored match after match in the reserves. Nothing he does now is any different than what he was doing week in week out 12 months + ago. It irks me to think how well Trent and Sam could have gone and Tommy would have been free to play hooker with Higham.
I really hope that Sam is allowed to play left side and Tommy plays right side in future games. Tommys defence will actually improve as he has to tackle correctly on the right side rather than going for the shoulder charges which look great but = missed tackles too.

Tommy Lulu is a No9 end of.
Agree with your thoughts about Sam being a left sided player

Re: Sam T is a lefty
sam had a very good game last night :eusa2: but can anyone tell me why does lockers do most of the kicking on last tackle ?....tomkins kicked a couple of times and they were great kicks so why ? imo it takes a little of his game away from him so noble take heed, :conf: :conf:
Re: Sam T is a lefty
Not sure why Right cross but he is not given the kicking duties and I think his chip n chase, short grubbers that were a large part of his game for the reserves seem frowned upon too.

It was late, it was planned, but it was with the shoulder and legal except for being late.
