Surely we haven't agreed to in effect pay him for nothing. If he's fit he should play. If he won't play don't pay him

a couple of remarks to the press recently seem to hint that he's missing RL already
And he's been at nearly every game since he left us! Of course he misses it, it's been his life and I'm not happy about him going as you will know if you read my past posts on this topic. But he's gone now, he won't be coming back and yesit is very sad and still fills me with anger thinking that he could leave us but he has. We've got to move on and so has he, so after this appearance maybe he will do. I'm not happy about his decision one bit but he's a legend, good luck.

The huge mistake by Mo of letting him leave must surely have now registered with everyone.

I said it at the time it all blew up that this is a professional sport now and there is no room for sentiment.

The best he should have got (as I said then, not with hindsight) was an agreement he could leave at the end of the season.

As to moving on, that is what you do when a player leaves at the end of his contract or retires and it is time for the parting of the ways.

This is very different because he could and should, still be a Wigan player.

There is unfinished business. He did not leave at the end of his contract but left because the people who run the club allowed it to happen.

I reckon we deserve an explanation and saying the player had 14 years service isn't a good enough explanation for leaving the team in the state it is in from those in charge.

If this were a government department there would be a public enquiry into the mismanagement of the whole thing.

Another post succinct and to the point DaveO. However, don't expect a reply (cogent or otherwise) from anyone in authority. They must look at this site - they certainly ignore it.

Even if he wasn't going, he still wouldn't be playing, because of his injury, so that has no effect on our current player shortage.
Also, at the time, we still had Hock and O'Loughlin fit.

:( Very well articulated DaveO, it beggars belief that Doris can allow this to go on, it can't be doing moral any good at all !!!
