I cannot for the life of me comprehend why the club should want to stand by an individual that has so shamed himself and brought the game into disrepute. He ought never to darken our doors again.
So he goes off to stains and comes back to haunt us - despite wanting to make amends for his mistake?

I would imagine that if/when he re-signs for Wigan his contract will be lesser to the one that he previously had.

Why should the club (and fans) suffer a second time? If he can still play at the same level then Wigan would be crazy not to sign him.

We currently have Martin Gleeson in our ranks - he bet against his own team; when he was playing in it. We also have players who have convictions for violence; which could be argued is far worst than taking recreational drugs.

Leon Pryce has been convicted of home invasion and violence. Cockayne was convicted of a sickening attack; but both players clubs welcomed them with open arms.

It's not a scout meeting; this is professional sport and you can bet that if Wigan don't want him; then pretty much every other club in SL will happily accept Hock into their ranks.

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

I agree, Gareth should be given another chance and he should also be greatful for that chance by turning himself around, his interview in the press and the fact he hasn't put forward an appeal speaks volumes to me and perhaps the best thing that has ever happened to him was getting caught!

Good Luck Gareth, stick with it and we will see you soon, bigger, better, stronger and wiser in 2011.... Just intime to pick form up for the world cup x
