Nobles Says he is Leaving
Re: Goodbye Nobby
Thanks Nobby the team's looking much better than when you came. A sad way to end a great 3 and a half years. Wish you every success in the future.

Can only say it was a secret we all knew about, you did a good job for us,but would be a relief to see a new face next season with some fresh ideas to give the boys that bit of belief they need to go that step further.
Good luck in the future Brian.

Re: Goodbye Nobby
Goodbye Nobby and bring in someone else that can bring us back to where we deserve to be. He took us as far as he could with his "flat attack" and 5 drive and a kick, its time to bring in a coach that has different tactics and not those that the old bradford bulls used at the turn of the millenium!!!
Re: Goodbye Nobby
You arrogant b******d. What makes you think that you are in a position to dismiss those of us who have for so long campaigned to get rid of Noble simply on the basis that we have been knocking him for knocking sake ? God forbid that someone might actually have the objectivity and lack of bias to assess a coach on the basis of his signings, tactics, adaptability and ultimately his results. Yes, I wish Brian well, I have no grudge against him as a man, but in the final analysis we are a sixth place team in a 14 team league, with a pretty good defence and a complete lack of ideas on how to attack as a team, rather than relying on the undoubted ability of some individuals.Kittwazzer wrote:And thanks for everything you have done for us. I for one have never doubted your ability, and certainly not your integrity.
Maybe now CPW, DaveO and the rest of the NobbyKnockers can start thinking about how they plan to denegrate whoever takes over the coaching job.
Lets face it, they won't have much else to do!!
Maybe the dross we have been served up all season, followed by a string of 3 or 4 wins at the back end is good enough for you, but I want to compete with the Leeds and St Helens of this world, and by compete, I mean over the course of the whole season.
I wish nobody any ill, and I hope that Nobby does well wherever he ends up, but I'm glad he's gone. Not because I want to reduce things to some petty juvenile personal level, but because I want the best for Wigan

Re: Goodbye Nobby
OK Ragman. Are you saying that Wigan's next coach is going to be the best thing for Wigan?
Better than Nobby??
I am convinced that moves are already afoot to sack him. People are typing frantically as we speak. Preparing anti-Wigan Coach paragraphs and phrases to be 'cut'n pasted' as required.
And noone knows who he/she is yet.....officially!!

Re: Goodbye Nobby
Not going to slag the guy off.I have been vocal enough in the past.I have always stated that Brian was not good enough for Wigan and nothing changes my opinion. But I am big enough to say thanks for trying. And to wish you all the best at another club. The sooner our future is clear the better for the club as a whole.

Like the other thread by trotski (which may be merged) i shall say:
Thankyou Brian you seemingly did your best in the hardest job in world rugby. Many successes and good luck wherever you go next year.
Love him or hate him Wigan now have a platform for next year... made by Noble, the backroom staff and the board.
