if i only go on for one view why was i asking about other players in my view you don"t like my take on things perhaps i am to old school for you .Nobody would like to go back to our winning ways more than me i just don"t agree with the way IL treats people . we must remember we were playing semi professional clubs then the game is very different now. I do not want to go back to a lower league it was awful .

Short of a Millward style disaster I hope he'll be here for 3 years and be very sucessful.

I'd want to see specific improvement in our results in his first year. If we have essentially the same squad as this year, then I would want to see the following specifics:

- Improved fitness and conditioning on our problem players and to the squad overall.

- A better start to the season.

- Reestablish home game fortress mentality.

- An incremental improvement on this years results with perhaps 3-5 more wins overall.

The following would represent less modest improvements.

- A final appearence. We've been in x semis over x years. It's the time to move to a final and sniff for a scalp.

- Winning SH at all costs and putting them back fairly and squarely in their place.

Got to agree with most people, Ian Lenagan has pulled a masterstroke in getting this guy to come to our club.
Just watched Micheals interview and he is very positive about the future.
What an interview given by Ian too, talk about wetting your appetite,in a funny kind of way i am glad we failed to make the Grand Final because if we would have won it Brian Noble could have stayed. I am sure the more people watch Ians interview the more people will going buying season tickets for next season.
Roll on 2010,come on the Warriors!

Good interview that. I honestly think MM will be a very special coach for Wigan RLFC. Defence alone. Melbourne kept teams scoreless for 4 or 5 successive matches in the first 40 on the way to the GF win. We all know they can attack.

Players. If I had a wish, tentatively realistic, it would be that at some sage in the next 2 years Cooper Cronk came over. Right sided to complement lefty Sam and an awesome kicking / organisational game.

Agree on all points there WR we need to build confidence and fitness.
I hope he brings both components to the team.
But most of all beatthe smells and get a cup.

I hope fans do not expects cups to appear just likwe that. I think he may well get us to a final but it may take a season or so before he gets the squad near to where he wants in order to dominate. If he achieves it in 2010 I will be startled.
