Quite simple really. He put in an obituary post, ie "I am leaving" so everybody could tell him how valuable he was and how those that disagreeed with his sick tactics were morons. Now he is gloating big style. Now him and his pals claim a victory because Noble's contract was not renewed. Only time will answer that question. MM has wwon nothing yet so we have here the euphoria that welcomed Noble and nearly every other coach including Millward. I hope he does well. I have nothing against him as I had nothing against Noble. If he stayed I believe we would have won next year. If MM wins it is with the team Noble built, (IL's comment )exile in Tiger country wrote:Why?cpwigan wrote:Plenty of cheer around and rightly so. Some fans will be choking on humble pie![]()

Re: Good Luck Michael Maguire & Shaun Wane
That has nothing to do why CPW reckons some people will be eating humble pie and I think you know it. When we got to the semi's again you were on here doing the "I told you so" act so you set yourself up for a fall. Nothing to do with anything you have written above.highland convert wrote:Quite simple really. People are not claiming "victory" but feel vindicated their opinions are shared by IL and action has been taken they wanted given the constant rubbishing of their opinions that Noble was failing in various areas. Now him and his pals claim a victory because Noble's contract was not renewed. Only time will answer that question.
MM has won as much with Wigan as Noble did.MM has wwon nothing yet so we have here the euphoria that welcomed Noble and nearly every other coach including Millward. I hope he does well. New coaches are virtually always greeted in a positive way and the way MM (and Wane's) appointment has been met by not just people on this message board says a lot about the frustration the fans had with Noble.
As to if MM wins it will be with the team Noble built IL did not use those exact words did he! He said Brian assembled the current squad and should be thanked for that.
If MM wins with this team what it will prove is that one coach could not coach this team to a get over the final hurdle to victory (Noble) and another could (MM).
I would like us ti sign a couple of players but if we don't and MM improves on Noble's record with the same players it will be all credit to him for getting more out of the team than Noble.

Oh they are. Lets face it, some people on here have celebrated the fact that a man has lost his job!!DaveO wrote: People are not claiming "victory"
Comparison is out of order. Noble arrived under far different circumstances following a season which saw us suffer successive defeats of 75-0 and 70-0! Never happened again on his watch!DaveO wrote:MM has won as much with Wigan as Noble did.
By my reckoning, you have just contradicted yourself in that one sentence!!!DaveO wrote: New coaches are virtually always greeted in a positive way and the way MM (and Wane's) appointment has been met by not just people on this message board says a lot about the frustration the fans had with Noble.
There is a VERY fine line between those two comments!!DaveO wrote:As to if MM wins it will be with the team Noble built IL did not use those exact words did he! He said Brian assembled the current squad and should be thanked for that.
Well that is certainly how you and the rest of your cabinet will interpret it!!DaveO wrote: If MM wins with this team what it will prove is that one coach could not coach this team to a get over the final hurdle to victory (Noble) and another could (MM).
That part, to some extent, I would agree with. Also, it is interesting that you at least concede that Noble did have some sort of record!!DaveO wrote:I would like us ti sign a couple of players but if we don't and MM improves on Noble's record with the same players it will be all credit to him for getting more out of the team than Noble.
How about that DaveO? You are not the only one who can reply to someones posts as though you are marking their homework!!

Re: Good Luck Michael Maguire & Shaun Wane
WILL SOME ONE PLEASE ANSWER ME THIS WHAT OTHER COACH WOULD WIN THE GRANDFINAL WITH THIS TEAM :conf:
THE PLAYERS IL HAS BROUGHT IN HAS BEEN DYER YET I HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH A NEW COACH BUT WHY IS BN GETTING ALL THE FLAK (I WILL STAND CORRECTED IF BRIAN NOBBLE TOLD IL TO SIGN ROBERTS SMITH RIDELL ETC BUT SURELY IL NEEDS TO LOOK AT THE ACEMDY MORE BEFORE JETTING OFF HE SAYS HE WILL IN FUTURE I THINK HES LEARNED A HARD LESSON AND A EXSPENSIVE ONE

ahhh sorry shot myself already sorry all.. and ere me tryin to be serious
Re: Good Luck Michael Maguire & Shaun Wane
I think you don't understand one of the truisms of RL which is the only certainty a coach faces is that one day he will lose his job. My view is people are glad we have a new coaching set up they approve of that already sounds like it will address the issues people want addressing.Kittwazzer wrote:Oh they are. Do you actually think there are no issues that need addressing?
As to Noble losing his job I am sure he won't like it but I am equally sure he won't be out of a job for long.
Not in its orignal context it isn't.Comparison is out of order.DaveO wrote:MM has won as much with Wigan as Noble did.
And we lost to Celtic and regularly come up with some dire performances to rival that one. What is your point? The losses were less bad? Oh great!Noble arrived under far different circumstances following a season which saw us suffer successive defeats of 75-0 and 70-0! Never happened again on his watch!
You will have to explain that one. Noble was greeted positively and MM and SW have been as well. Noble on the other hand went on to lose the support of many fans so when the new duo were appointed they have been received positively. The only way there would be a contradiction in what I said would be if you assumed I was saying Noble was not greeted positively. Why on earth would you assume that? He was, 2006 was great, he lost the plot after that.By my reckoning, you have just contradicted yourself in that one sentence!!!DaveO wrote: New coaches are virtually always greeted in a positive way and the way MM (and Wane's) appointment has been met by not just people on this message board says a lot about the frustration the fans had with Noble.
There is but the meaning is clear enough. HC was IMO putting a bit of spin on what was said. There is a VERY fine line between those two comments!!DaveO wrote:As to if MM wins it will be with the team Noble built IL did not use those exact words did he! If you change one thing and get a different result it's common sense to attribute the different result to the thing you changed.Well that is certainly how you and the rest of your cabinet will interpret it!!DaveO wrote: If MM wins with this team what it will prove is that one coach could not coach this team to a get over the final hurdle to victory (Noble) and another could (MM).
You can have bad as well as good records you know! In any case if you agree with what I say here it is only saying the same thing as I said in the previous paragraph.
A pretty poor attempt at quoting IMHO (I assume you know what IMHO means). How about that DaveO? You are not the only one who can reply to someones posts as though you are marking their homework!!

As to threatening PM's you only get those if you resort to personal abuse.
