Let`s keep Georege Carmont

I`m hearing serious rumours that George Carmont may be leaving after being offered only a one years contract.
We need Carmont he`s been our best centre since Gary Connelly .
When we look at the players we are keeping ie Pryce , that`s a joke , a sick one , Carmont must be kept as he is class .
He also very rarely goes off with injuries .
Come on IL and MM let`s keep our quality players .

If this is true and Carmont is going, Mcquire should be sacked before he even comes!!!!. No one in their right mind would keep Plonker Pryce instead of Carmont!!!!. Pryce has got to be the most timmidest player thats ever put a wigan shirt on!!!!

I don't think we would be keeping Pryce over Carmont if it was a like for like choice.

I think (someone correct me) that with Pryces contract renewal, HE activated the second year option and so we're stuck with him. If the club chooses to present that differently to save some face for a bad contract option, so be it.

I'd be gutted if Carmont leaves. He's been brilliant for us over the past couple of seasons, he was exactly what we'd been looking for for so long.

If it IS true, could it be the result of another centre coming to Wigan, as a result of the MM appointment.

might upset afew on here but i think IFL is right not to give him a 2yr deal. granted he's been outstanding for us but with his age and the niggling injuries he's starting to pick up give him a yr definatly but not 2!

George is one of our stand out players - it would be a move in the wrong direction if we were stupid enough to let him go.

From what's been discussed on here previously; he is one of the lowest paid senior players at the club.

If we can afford him for next year, then we should have no trouble fitting him under the cap the year after with Fielden leaving!

I hadn't heard that Carmont might be leaving . He's the kind of player that if he broke both his legs, his arms and his neck; he would still offer to play on and probably score a hatrick . A tremendous player in a position where we had been lacking until he came along. I can only hope that it's a rumour.
