Fairly sure he has an Aussie agent, but then Sale have been circling a while, lets hope he doesnt get too disilusioned (sorry my spelling is dreadful tonight) with the club for not getting his contract sorted out...we will just have to see what happens when Wane n Maguire take over
Wish list: Billy Slater please!!!!!!!!

Don't think we should be looking to get rid of anyone for this season. We have a decent 1st team that on form are capable of beating anyone, along with some top class youngsters coming through.
Maguire and Wane should get some competition for places going and put a rocket up the senior players and judge them over the course of this season. Come next year many are off contract which will free up more space on the cap & MM/SW/IL will know exactly what needs to be done re retaining players/bringing in new faces.

Thats my view as well. The try against Hull KR demonstrated is effectiveness in that position; challenging the line when the opposition have to be more evenly distributed.lucky 13 wrote: Fekka is in my oppinion a very good player, just not fit and very poorly utilised.
There is little point passing to him flat in the middle of the park. He makes half a yard before being floored!

Pat Richards was not rubbish in his first season. This is a myth used to make excuses for under performing players like Roberts and Piggy. Richards was played out of position at centre by Millward and in a team going nowhere but to NL1 under said coach.LKC29 wrote:Plenty of people are knocking piggy but can anyone remember pat richards 1st season with us...... Shocking is an understatement, but look at him now. Give the new guys like piggy and amos last season to bed in and judge them this year.
Noble came in and once he switched Pat to the wing, his correct position, his form improved virtually overnight to the extent when Dallas got injured it looked at one point Richards was going to keep him out of the side for the rest of his Wigan career.
Piggy and Roberts have not been playing in a demoralised team out of their natural position so do not have Pat's excuse.
We also have other overseas players such as Carmont and Bailey who have delivered right from when they arrived so what makes these two special cases?
They are experienced pros who for that reason alone should not need a season to settle in and have been shown up by young players who came into the side for first grade debuts this season who look more the part than they do.
Why people just can't accept what we got from these two was unacceptable and stop making excuses for seasoned pro's who under performed I don't really know.

toatly agree the only thing i can say is that the two was wiganers and i think give a kid playing for his town with half the talent they both have and u will see a better drive and basicley more determanation then any overseas player will bring

I don't think the squad needs major renovation, perhaps another experienced, quality operator in the middle of the park at say stand off, scrum half or loose forward. We could afford this on the salary cap by letting Fielden, Feka or Karl Pryce follow Nobby to South Wales.
The key point is that we must be ready for the start of the season, our form must be capable of winning at least 7 of the first 10 games. Our squad must be prepared and ready from the first minute of the first game over the last two years this has not been the case.
The reason that we have lost in the play off semi final during the last few seasons is because they have been away from home and the teams we played have had a weeks rest. Both Saints this year and Leeds last have not been better teams than Wigan just in better shape with fewer injuries and with home advantage.
In order to get to a grand final we must play our semi at home with a weeks rest and we can only do this by improving our league position. Clearly the easiest way to do this would be to win more games at the beginning of the season
