Since Betts is apparently responsible, in your view, for the state of the pitch, the price of the pies, your failure to win the Golden Gamble and the dirty window in the Lotto shop, he might as well get the blame for injuries as well.
betts seems to sound posative about carney returning!

can we also blame betts for not having any carney lettering left in the soccer dome which forced me to get seu seu?
I think we should blame him for the lack of training jumpers in jjb as well

Irrespective of Carney's own opinion or those of the treatment team the team selection is down to Betts. If Carney pulls it off, Betts is right. If he breaks down, you may want to blame Carney for playing but he doesn't pick the team. Presumably Betts has seen him run out and the call is solely his.

i understand your comments jin, but the early post i put on was "dennis betts said carney was sensational", is he saying he is ready for playing or he looks pretty good in his new outfit?(that is for the benefit of doverdaveythingy) if dennis or the medical staff did not think the guy was ready they would not play him. especialy if they have read this notice board, all i say is thank god brian is back, i reckon 2 tries friday for brian and i will be the first to put my quid on for first try,

 So what happened last time ???

I can't believe the majority of posters on here, who ignore the real issues, and just want to tickle tackle, for gods sake, get a life and get out a little more. Keep this site for more important issues...like...OUR FUTURE, or lack of one if we are not carefull.

think its someone else who needs to get a life, what happened last time was an unfortunate tackle, like what happened to o'loughlin it was nobody's fault.

You really do talk out of your a--e m8, "OUR FUTURE"?
i thought that getting players back on to the park would without doubt help our future, the more players we get back the better chance we have in any game.
why can't you see the positive side of anything? carney is back after a long absence who i'm sure will make a big difference to the team, get behind them instead of pulling them down,
and as far as regards your comment "what happened last time", his injury was a totally different one so check your facts m8y the guy was just unlucky,
and correct me if i'm wrong but is'nt getting carney back an important issue? i'm pretty sure he is going to make a difference, all you want to do is slag the team off and anyone who comes on this notice board, i for one sometimes read your posts and just laugh at how negative you are all the time, go and support the saints cause they are always moaning

One day you're going to actually tell us what you mean by this "lack of future" that you keep talking about. Win or lose, SL or NL1, then Wigan RLFC will still exist. The club isn't going to close down just because we finish 7th or 8th in the league, or even because DW might decide to sell the club to someone else as you keep suggesting. I know we've nearly gone out of existence in the past, but wasn't that at a time when we were still winning more-or-less everything there was to win? We didn't disappear when we were relegated all those years ago. What is this lack of future that you talk about? People will still go to watch, maybe not in such high numbers but they'll go, and with the infrastructure of the club and the ingrained RL heritage in the Wigan area there will always be a conveyor belt of top-quality youngsters to come into the team. Clubs have been relegated before (and I'm talking worst-case scenario since you're so going on about lack of future, not a scenario I see as being one which will happen) and come back again stronger than before (Huddersfield and Salford haven't done too badly considering where they've been in the last 3-4 years). So, I say again, what is this lack of future you keep talking about? Have you got some crystal ball that seems the end of RL in Wigan? If so, can I have next Saturday's winning lottery numbers as well, next time you go looking into the future, and the name of the horse which will win the 2025 Grand National?
