Gutted for Sean but from a selfish point of view its good that he'll be fully rested for us next season.

tough break (literally aswell) been unlucky last few years with injury but in truth I dont think him being at centres would do him or england any favours against NZ and Australia. He'd be rested for february luckily... off on hols he goes, lucky bugger

i am well gutted for Sean. He was brilliant for us this season. being a bit selfish I am happy for us. It ain't a bad injury and should be ready for us next season. He could have don't some damage in one of the four nations games and been out for a lot longer. so in a round about way we are lucky.

I think JT deserves a call up to cover his place. Briscoe is a good player but he won't be able to stand up to the aussies.

despite what people might be thinking i think Sean would of done a good job playing in center for England not only for england but also for Sean as well. The experiance of playing in such a high quality comp at a relatively unknown position would expand his knowlage of the game even more and only help develope his skills even further. Its a big loss for england and a big loss for us him not gaining that valuable experiance.

Well I think the only knowledge anyone would gain from him doing that V the Aussies was that Tony Smith is mad and Lockers isn't a centre. But we know that already!

I can only assume he played in that position because no Leeds or Saints players were involved in the game.

It is a big loss for England, if they were going to play him in the pack.

If they had seen sense and done so, it is still a loss for Lockers not to be fit to play against the best forwards.

Dave I think by the calling up of Briscoe, and not replacing OLoughlin as a 'forward' that Smith would have ideally wanted Sean to play in the backs, or else he would have called up a forward?
