Re: Riddell
Heard a story that he is not happy with the new training and fitness programmes.
If true, might explain the sudden signing of Paul Deacon!

Because it involves "training and fitness" rather than "resting and eating"?Whelley Warrior wrote:Heard a story that he is not happy with the new training and fitness programmes.
With Deacon's arrival, Riddell is clearly in danger of losing his place. After all, it seems unlikely that Maguire would sign Deacon and then not play him.
McIlorum is a youngster coming through and IMO is a better player for us than Riddell has been. If Deacon does play, then that means that Tommy will move to hooker and either McIlorum or Riddell will lose out.
Barring injury to one of the halves or hookers; this could go one of two ways. Either Riddell sees this as a challenge, gets properly fit and makes a huge improvement on last years effort and fights for his place in the team - or he goes into his shell and either plays in the reserves or takes his ball and goes home.
Either way - it can only benefit the team

Re: Riddell
I know this may sound really daft but maybe Piggy could do a job at prop he would be mobile so far as props go he can burst a tackle and can off load only a thought then we would have PD & ST at halfs with TL and MM for hooker. I think he would make more yards than SF
Re: Riddell
The sooner he goes the better, anybody not prepared to do the hard yards be it Pryce, be it Feka or be it Piggy. Let them go or rot in the U20's
