Not "all roses" down 't' road!

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

To "resurrect" this thread....

The rumours concerning our downtrodden friends continue.... The latest (and probably financially disasterous for the club) is that Tesco's (who were part funding the proposed new stadium with an adjoining Express) have apparently withdrawn their funding/backing to the project :o

If true, what now for stains new stadium plans?

Maybe they could play on the local Aldi carpark :)

Oh please let this be true.
For two reasons:
1) to see snakes struggling, and
2) to watch the numpties at Red Hall jump through hoops to chasnge their own rules to keep the scousers in Superleague.

If this is true, it hasn't been mentioned on RedVee.

They seem more preoccupied with Eastmond and whether he has signed a new contract.

Someone posted that today is the deadline for bids to be finalised for the construction of the new stadium. He suggested that they may announce the Eastmond situation with details of who has won the construction contract.

Got to say I am struggling to get my head around this new stadium deal. In my mind, Tesco Express is just the smaller High Street version of the supermarket. The whole idea of it was to bring out of town supermarket prices to the local High Street. Hardly sits alongside a 'major sporting venue'!! :conf: :conf:

I think it's probably big gob Murphy adding his (ill informed) two penneth worth. Although it would be nice to see them on the slide for a while. I wouldn't mind swapping places with them for the next 10 years

I have a feeling that Warrington will be our local opposition for the next couple of years at least!

We have had the new stadium plans into our office for tender. Just looked on the drawings and they still have the architech's name on... I cannot for the life of me recall who sent the package through.

The Development is to be called "Destination St Helens".??

The plans show no seating behind either sticks, just up the sides
