Went into shop Wed lunch time- I support Dezzer's view that the shop layout is a bit poor in that when it is busy it is a struggle to get to the rear of the shop as the queue for the till blocks off the shop and this is made worse by the unit in that area with the books and such on.
However, this is only a minor gripe and think the shop looks professional whilst being in a prime location. Overall, it should be a success really.

I think it is the nature of the unit. The lack of frontage (therefore width) will = lower lease prices. Is there an option to have an upper floor. There look 2 levels but I am not sure there are in reality or the option to do so. Either way you cannot be too critical of the club for opening this shop. On the contrary.

I bobbed in earlier this week - it is a bit on the pokey and small side.
But it's there, it has all the new gear and it's in a busy throughfare. I agree with CP - the merchandising of the club is much improved and compared to this time last year is in a much better state.....
...... although I ordered some pressies online last Saturday and haven't got them yet. :eh:

I think originally the narrow units were intended for retailers selling non bulky items such as mobile phones.

I dont think they should get a mezzanine floor it's too small. TBH it's a perfect size just needs merchandising correctly and have the right stock on the shop floor.. im sure the layout will change with trial & error I dont see whazt the fuss is about. On a normal weekday or weekend there will be 10 customers at any one time I reckon.
The walls are too plain though, my only gripe, could get some murals up or spend a few hundred quid on massive posters of good times.
