Dual registration
Dual registration
Heard a few whispers the other day that mossop and farrel will be dual registered with barrow and wigan next year. Anyone else heard anything?
Re: Dual registration
how does duel registration work?
Surely Mossop must be pushing for the match day 20 - I think he should be in the 17
Farrell maybe to get some experience and toughen him up - but the abilyt to recall - he must be sixth choice for the back row next year

Re: Dual registration
As far as i can remember what IL said at the fans forum .
A player can have dual registration with a SL and a NL1 NL2 unlike if he is going on loan where he cannot be recalled within a month.
The player would be available whenever the SL wanted him back so in theory if a player went to NL1 first match of season he could if required be called back to play for the SL week 2 and can be recalled at any time the SL club needs him.The player is getting match practice in the NL1 club and could be picked for the SL at any time.

Re: Dual registration
Don't see what the NL clubs gain from this. Loans tend to be for specific periods for a reason, to cover for an injured player for a few weeks for example.jaws1 wrote: The player would be available whenever the SL wanted him back so in theory if a player went to NL1 first match of season he could if required be called back to play for the SL week 2 and can be recalled at any time the SL club needs him.The player is getting match practice in the NL1 club and could be picked for the SL at any time.
Can't see NL coaches happy to have a player in the squad who they won't know if he is with them from one week to the next unless there is a financial incentive and they are told to get on with it by the club chairman for that reason!

Re: Dual registration
I thought our partner club was Leigh according to IL last season
Re: Dual registration
If the NL club can use such players to help them achieve qualificaton for a franchise then IMO they will be happy.
We seem to be talking about links with Barrow but that is talk. Leigh would be the obvious link up.
