When i received our season tickets there was a note in the envelope asking me to bring proof of age for my son (17)to the ticket office at the first home game . (not a problem)
Received a letter from the ticket office today stating that i had to produce proof of age before next Friday. (by Thursday night).Problem i live in Edinburgh
Phone call from the ticket office last Thursday night asking if i would like to buy a block of 6 tickets for this season as i had been at some games last year (was at them all)
I am a season ticket holder dont these people talk to each other.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Whelan yet.

Going straight in the middle here, I can see it must be a pain when kids are at a young age and aren't likely to look older than the cut off age.
Teenagers can vary and maybe they need an updated pic.
But to ask you to come along way across the country is plain daft, can you not post or email them the pic required?
Then again with all this modern technology you'd think they'd know who is what age this year.
Case of left hand not knowing what right hand doing.
Should look before they make such hard work of it.

Re: Ridiculous
Has it not occured to anyone to bring this up at the next fans forum or even raise it at the next Riversiders meeting? I agree it is ridiculous for the simple reason it annoys people and could lead to familys not renewing season tickets and just opting to attend less games.
What the club should be doing is getting their admin in order and sorting out silly mistakes like this. If people can take the time to come on here and post about it, then it doesnt take much longer to e-mail the club and register your feeling in this debacle.
If people dont complain then how can the club learn that they are getting it totaly wrong and annoying loyal fans at the same time. As other posters have said not ALL fans live in Wigan or the surrounding area. I also dont see what "happy clapper" has to do with this topic & i for one find that phrase offensive and not warrented on this site IMO

Trotski if somebody else had posted it you would not have had a problem. Do what I do and use the friends and foes option. I don't have to read your posts unless I forget to login before reading the forums. The best option Mike ever created IMO.
Re: Ridiculous
Just to add Wigan RLFC read this forum and RLfans every day so if you post something here or there they get the message. The fans forums offers no solution as you have to be selected to ask a question and the riversiders is only for members. If people wanted to they could email but by postiing on a public forum you get a better indication if you are a long voice or others have a similar issue and are in agreement.

Re: Ridiculous
Why would i need to use the friends and foe option? i have no foe on this site. We are all wigan fans as far as im concerned & i only stated my opinoin that i find the term happy clapper offencive, no matter who may use it. My posting was just what it was my own opinion and was not made to cause any offence whats so ever.cpwigan wrote:Trotski if somebody else had posted it you would not have had a problem. Some people are far too easily offended and then they backstab people. Personally, I use the foes to avoid reading the posts by the contributors I find boring. Hence you are on my foe list. I am sure Mike did not mean friends and foes literally but of course he has to give things titles. Given your propensity to be easily offended I would suggest you use the foes option or simply do not go on the internet whatsoever.
