I do not weven consider 2009 with Amos as clearly there was some issue (one big one BTW was that he was unhappy in part because his family were not here etc) 2010
I am not labouring the Amos point - I am labouring the cpwigan double standards point which does you no credit.

If Ainscough had coughed the ball up in the last minute to gift a winning try to the opposition you would have been on here saying he cost is the match.

To say you don't want to consider 2009 is very convenient. Why not? You based your criticism of Ainscough on losing a game for us in 2009 and he was a 19 year old player not a 28 year old established pro.

And trotting out the "rlfans standard Amos excuse" of his family not being here is ridiculous given they arrived about three months into season.
Amos has made A mistake. In return he has won us games, nearly/should have helped us win last night. When the grounds harden then he will be even more awesome.
The above kind of thing could equally be written about Aincough but every error he makes is just one in a long line of mishaps according to you. Double standards!

Roberts is a senior pro player who with one minute to go came up with an error that cost us the match. They don't get much bigger than that but if you want to dismiss it as one of those things given how he has played that is fine by me but you need to start doing the same with Ainscough.

botica wrote:Bradford were always going to be a tough oposition, they had a poor start to the season but week in week out they will be working on the things that weren't working... They came out in the 2nd half with a flea in their ear and an oposition who thought they had it won. Wow Orford was good as was Kearney.
Last week against Catalan's was a worry, I hoped they wouldn't under estimate them, and they didn't, but did that make them a little cocky? I thought so, in the 1st half they should have scored at least another 3 but for poor passing or poor decisions...

Glad it happened at Bulls and not on good Friday though...

Wigan will come through and it will do them good. They were gutted and won't want that feeling again
As you say Botica, last weeks game was not a test, as Catalans defence is the weakest in SL.
Their players dont seem capable of putting a man down which was very clearly evident againt Stains too.

That is what I cant believe too. Once again I thought Bailey was quite poor and that is without that attempted tackle. He just seems to get away with it time and again and always seems to get picked no matter what. We have much better back row options than him. I just hope he is on a much reduced deal.

If Goulding had played like that in any of his games this season then the usual suspects on RLFans, who always have a go at him no matter how he plays, would be slaughtering him. I even saw someone on there criticising him based on 2 mistakes from months ago (which werent even Gouldings fault anyway), presumably because he could find no fault from the weekend before.

Whichever way you look at it it was points thrown away. Can't help thinking that at times we were too complacent and suffered in consequence. I have to say I have been disappointed with Feka this season. It seems to me that we have any number of people doing a better job than him this season (and for longer). I this just a lack of form or is he carrying some sort of injury?
Hee seems to be on the pitch less now than he was last season and is far less effective when he is.

Perhaps, but while the wind will affect distance, it shouldn't affect direction too much, and the kicks (from all of them, not just Sam) were poorly directed, especially the one that hit Lockers.

Geoff, bear with me mate. I'm digging deep in the excuse bucket trying to put as best a gloss as I can on, lest dispondancy engulfs me.

the only thing we need to bother about is....

1 *****WIGAN WARRIORS*****
2 Hull FC
3 Leeds Rhinos
4 Warrington Wolves
5 St Helens
6 Wakefield Wildcats
7 Bradford Bulls
8 Huddersfield Giants
9 Hull K R
10 Crusaders
11 Castleford Tigers
12 Catalans Dragons
13 Harlequins FC
14 Salford City Reds

It's up there in in bold and the rest of the effects because it seems a lot of folk dont know it.

yes we played some good stuff in 1st half and shut down in 2nd thinking game over.

but the last few years with leeds and stains they have been the teams top and they have been the teams that have wanted to score of every play so lets just hope tonight was a lapse i have a very good feelin this is our year, remember if we dont try throwing ball were never gonna score, plus we are 1st in league

The game seemed so much better on tele that it did live. Odsal has lost its buzz big time it felt like there was no crowd there at times. Might have missed it if already said but fielden was poor in defence too when it mattered. Eamon may have appeared to have done little on tele but there were a few occasions when he was running from deep as a dummy runner but feka was getting the ball. Do this with a back by all means but why waste the energy of a prop who should be doing hard yards with ball in hand?

All in all wished I never bothered going and to add insult to injury me and my dad were quite annoyed to get covered in beer at the end from some 'fan'.
