Feka to crusaders????

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Iam sorry but you cannot seriously consider letting either of these players go and keep Feka!! Do you honestly think the team will be better with a Feka, a player who is suspect on defence, lazy and basically a one trick pony who has been sussed by every team in super league. MM I think has concluded that he is not good enough and therefore will remain a bit part player until we can offload him! [/u]
I couldnt agree more :eusa2:

I can understand why you would not agree with losing Fielden or Prescott, I think the term "lazy" is a bit harsh.

Its quite simply not true. He burns himself out doing the wrong things imo, as I mentioned in another thread a bit ago. If all he did was run from deep he'd do fine but running around like a headless chicken tackling from marker and going third man in, as well as being a dummy runner 90% of the time in attack is a totally stupid way to use a player with 'stamina issues'

I agree, I think he is trying too hard in defence (marker tackles etc) because he knows MM favours defensive players. I think he would be better utilized for what we know he is good at, making huge barnstorming, leave the opposition skittled, runs and accepting his defence isn't 100%, and allow him to adjust to his new body shape and size.
I defy anyone to do what Feka has done in as short a time and maintain their strength.

Think we are being a bit hasty here writing Feka off .Is MM and Bitcom not trying to turn Feka into more of an all round player???? rather than being a battering ram and susceptical in defense. You have to look at the commitment to what Feka has done shedding the weight in the under 20s against Hull he played for an hour without being taken off.His defense has improved but his barnstorming energy sapping runs have dissapeared and is playing more of a prop forwards role now.Losing all the weight that he did in so short of a time ,he would have lost a lot of strength which needs to be built up on the weights. Could he not be the next Fu Fu Moi MOi ???????????

As you say Jaws, many people are being too hasty here.
Feka is in a big transition period, as set out by Michael McGuire.
Give Feka a season to come to terms with all that is being set aside for him and we will see a different Feka for 2011.

He'll have to be quicker than that if he wants a contract renewal.

Too many on here are sadly writing Feka off as a spent Wigan player.
As I have said, give feka a season to come to terms with what Madge is applying to him.
I am sure he will be judged for the coming 2011 season well by November 2010, his contract renewal date. :)

But that's too late to be getting a top class replacement for him if he doesn't make it. We have to know earlier what we're doing with his chunk of salary, whether that's re-signing or replacing him.

I'm definitely not writing him off, I'm just saying he'll need to be at the required (by MM) standard much earlier than October/November.
