Stood in the Wigan end in the cold and wet. Girlfriend Fidelma said she hadn't stood in a match for years, and then it was probably Hurling back in Cork. Anyway, whatever our personal discomfort compared with the more civilised stadia around these days, the sheer unadulterated joy of the win makes up for it all. No I won't miss Knowsley Road at all, and truth be told I am not that nostalgic for CP except for all those wonderful games.
Still, putting one over both Leeds and Saints in one week. How good is that?
We're having a wonderful season. Let's fill the double Wigan Stadium for Monday and really have the best Easter Egg going!
Yeeeeeeesssssss!

I for one won't miss the shed that is KR. Not sure who designed the stand but the rain hit you even under so called cover. I am glad I went for the atmosphere etc but ability to see what is happening is incredibly poor.

Ha ha, you've only just found that outcpwigan wrote:I for one won't miss the shed that is KR. Not sure who designed the stand but the rain hit you even under so called cover. I am glad I went for the atmosphere etc but ability to see what is happening is incredibly poor.

I'd sooner get wet with clean rain water than rust rain water

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

What the Saints fans main bone of contention with him? Their team isn't what it was ?GeoffN wrote:I had a great time sitting with a bunch of very friendly Saints fans, sharing mini eggs with them as they all moaned about Potter...![]()
We've agreed to meet up again either at Wembley or Old Trafford (if they get there)![]()

If Wigan beat Sheffield in the Challenge Cup, they will get St Helens at Knowsley Road in the next round.

I googled 10 18, as you do and fittingly, came across this passage from something called The Bible:
Ephesians 6:10-18
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
I may be sad, but it is funnily (to me) fitting. Shame its about religion but... you know.
