AINSCOUGH BACK AT WIGAN
Could this because Pat Richards took a knock on his back at the weekend and is going to be rested on Friday ready for the Magic weekend the week after.
Ainscough Recalled

Tempted to have him for 1st try in my preds league
Wigan Warriors have recalled winger Shaun Ainscough from his loan spell at Castleford Tigers.
With one or two bumps and bruises from the game at Sheffield last weekend Head Coach Michael Maguire has taken the step to recall Shaun back to Wigan with the winger set to be named in the 19 man squad for Friday's home game with Harlequins.
Shaun had originally been on loan at the Jungle for a month which was extended to the season but he is now back with the Warriors. Ainscough made seven appearances at Castleford scoring four tries.

Possibly, though Goulding went off injured as well.outback wiganer wrote:Could this because Pat Richards took a knock on his back at the weekend and is going to be rested on Friday ready for the Magic weekend the week after.

Hmm. A strategic move I'd feel rather than an absolute necessaty. We should dominate Quins totally and working through the squad we have available makes sense to rest up some tired bodies.
He should be hungry to impress.
Plenty of crossfield kicks from Quins and a match-up against Kevin Penny????? Interesting

It's been mentioned on rlfans one of the reasons he's been brought back is the environment at Cas is not considered good enough by Wigan.weststand-rich wrote:Hmm. A strategic move I'd feel rather than an absolute necessaty.
I guess we will see if there is anything in that if he returns to Cas after this weekend but it's a view I have put forward before that I don't think he will gain much facing three man overlaps on a weekly basis at Cas.

Daveo am under the impression that he can't just go back next week. He was on a Loan and not a dual registration.
I think that Loans have to be at least 1 month. An extended loan can be agreed between clubs how ever it can be cancelled with 24 hours notice but he can just go back again. If Shaun went back it would that we could not recall him until he as served a motnhs loan. It would count as the 2nd loan and not a continuation of the 1st one.

we will see if Wigan think cas is a bad environment Chris Tusons loan is up at the end of this week. He went to Cas on 24.03.10 on a months Loan. if Wigan call him back next week then we have our answer!

Mmm, interesting theory Dave O. Play in the best team in the league and rarely get your defence tested or play in a poorer team and get your defence tested. Strikes me Ainscough was in the right place to try to improve his defence be it tackling or fielding short kicks which by definition a team has to be losing out re field position for you to be tested.
Some informed views on Rlfans though (Bondi Warrior and Tiny Tim). I am impressed. The likes of myself and Rogues Gallery have very similar views and have seen Ainsy since he was 16 so it looks like some Wigan fans are astute.
I presume he will play in place of Goulding although on form Marsh should get selected and offers cover for several backline position which is important given Carmont's recent fraility.
Clear message to Pryce though which many seem to be oblivious to.

Interesting recall.Although I do believe that a longer stint with Cas would have been of more benefit to him.Mind you saying that I am not Madge and bow to his better judgement.Cover for Amos Goulding possibly.

There's a few clubs at the minute that have a poor off field culture and Cas is one of them. RL fans is full of nods and winks at present about the off field antics that got Westerman and Rangi suspended for disciplinary reasons. You can read between the lines and assume that for two of their best players to have been suspended in a team that is performly badly and injury hit, then it must have been serious.DaveO wrote:It's been mentioned on rlfans one of the reasons he's been brought back is the environment at Cas is not considered good enough by Wigan.weststand-rich wrote:Hmm. If going out on loan is to improve professionalism and improve rugby, then what exactly does hanging around a team of p*sspots achieve??
