Melbourne Implications

Post by cpwigan »

Clearly the Storm will have to offload some superb players. Given Madge has the inside track it could well mean that we are in pole position to bid for some of these players and have an impact upon the futures of the present squad.

What about our own salary cap? Any room? Are you talking 2011 only?

2011

We have a fair bit of cap money freed up then depending upon what we decide to do.

He's not heralded by many but the player I would take is Cooper Cronk. He is a righty to compliment Sam as a leftie and in the words of Billy Slater the most dedicated Melbourne player.

Cam Smith as a second option :)

In one way we could have an advantage in MM being ex Storm but the all the best Storm players will have known the "accounts" and got the salary accordingly ,so will be Ausssie rules(Slater?)but more likely the Dark Side bound. Very sad for RL but hats off to the NRL for the punishment and the bottle to impose it.
