The thing is with Pryce, with his physique he should be able to score the sort of solo tries we've regularly seen from our other players (including Ainscough).

I'd be delighted if he proved me wrong, but I just don't see him making tries from nothing like the others do.

I think that is a fair point. Roberts can score these sort of tries and as you say so can Ainscough. Goulding has scored a couple as well that required some persistence and good footwork. Richards scored one v Crusaders beating about four men in the process. Would Pryce have scored it? I personally think he would have taken the tackle.

It could be a confidence thing that he just needs to back himself and if he did he would soon develop into a bit of cult hero with the fans IMO.

He did come inside looking for work so seems to want to play again. The trouble is while it relieved the forwards he didn't make much headway for such a big lad which is why you wonder if he can fulfil his potential.

Pryce is crap, Ainy is crap. Neither of them would be playing without injuries. Wouldn't be surprised if both of them leave and end up either in NL1 or a bottom club in SL.

That's the sort of thing I mean. Goulding's try against Hull, for example, or Joel's try against Wakey are the sort that somehow I don't see KP doing. With his height (taller than Pat), he should be scoring (or creating) the "Pat style" tries from high kicks as well - he had the chance of one from a Sam kick against Crusaders, which Pat would have scored 9 times out of 10).

Happy clappers only Tony :sly:

Odd I have read the thread and I can only find one post that does not offer him some praise. Some seem dosed with a sense of realism and oddly seem to be echoing Madge. Should he go and coach Saints too for failing to be a happy clapper. :)

Quite right. Apart from gp's definitely non-fence-sitting post everybody else is having a pretty reasonable discussion about his strengths, weaknesses and potential. Overall the tone is one of wanting him to succeed.

from what i read people are saying well done BUT.......

nothing wrong with constructive criticism and i concede that i may have got the tone of the thread wrong and was the first to put my hand up to criticize feka and piggy the the start of the season but i just wondered how much criticism can affect a player in their confidence?

as far as happy clapper goes :) well yeah i am happy :) is there any reason to be unhappy with this years progress so far :) clap clap
