Depends if it goes to a vote I suppose.
I have noticed though DOD, that you have gone off subject and have begun to make petty insults and pointless comments.
See the "don't feed the trolls" notice I posted a while back.
They score a creditable 7/10, at least, on the "trollmeter"
I've also noticed that very often when I make a point that I think is very valid it often gets ingored by the likes of WNAC and DOD. Don't think they really like a decent debate, just like to cause a little controversy.
Pointless comment, of subject?

Just concede. I have many times.
Then again I'm open to debate
We were initially discussing the points difference to remind you again. How many do you think we should have realistically won by. I think UTC were too good for Leeds to put 50 past. I don't think they'd have put more than 25 past them. I think we should have won by about 20 for the game to be deemed a good victory.
The better team on the night lost. To be honest, I was quite proud to see a decent performance from UTC, and it was clear their coaches had done their homework. A much improved team on 2002, regardless of how poorly Wigan played, and it bodes well for next year that they may be competitive. UTC were going in several men at the tackle, good defensive line (not too many shouts of 'gerrumonside' tonight, as their line was better disciplined than most SL teams I've seen recently), lots of support play, quick hands, speed at the play-the-balls and kicks which either troubled our back line or turned them around and made them go for the ball. They wanted this match, and the contrast with Wigan was very noticable. We played one-man rugby, very slow at first receiver, lots of people stood around bunched up giving the runners/strollers few options, sloppy tackling (UTC got lots and lots and lots of offloads), and some dreadful kicking. No doubt about it, that try at the end was very lucky and dare I say harsh on the visitors who deserved at least a draw.
About the only good thing about tonight, apart from lots of people thinking I was an away fan since I dug out the old UTC/Perpignan shirt I brought home as a souvenir from 2002, was the fact I'd put a quid on Wigan to win by just 6-10 points at 18/1. Not a fortune, but I've covered the cost of the ticket so I'm a little bit happy.

Very good summation Fraggle, I'm glad to see someone else can be objective and analyse both teams performances.
You hit the nail on the head with the word discipline. They were brilliant in this department, in stark contrast to us.
Fraggle, do you have blonde hair and sit in the East Stand, around the half way line?

What did you think of UTCs performance?
We have truly played awful and, on the strength of this, I will side with Uncle Fester and say that we made them look a better side than they actually are.
I did predict a 30 points victory to the lads and thought this not too unreasonable. Home advantage, opposition travelling from France and playing regularly against poor opposition all lead me to believe we would win comfortably.
You appear to have a far higher regard of lower division football than myself and as such my expectations may have out weighed yours.
I also feel, especially at Saints, given the mood in the camp, that the SL teams playing tonight would have posted the 30 point split I was hoping for and probably more.

I actually expected us to win by a 30 point margin and expected us to play a lot, lot better than we did. However, I was suprised and quite pleased (on the fact they are in SL next year) that they far outshone my expectations. Fraggles match analysis says it all, they were well drilled, they did text book tackles every time and they played with enthusiasm and a great amount of effort for the full 80. I would say they were the better side purely because they got the basics spot on. They have lots to learn in other departments but they have proven they have a solid basis to build from and with the likes of Stacey Jones joining them they shouldn't be stranded on the bottom of SL this time next year which is a worry for quite a few RL expansion sceptics.

Yep, I was on half-way today (135-ish), row W or some such thing (not the seat on my ticket but I found an empty seat in front of a couple of friends). I normally live in row CC on the 40m, towards the north stand, but my seat had already been sold. I seemed to be getting lots of attention due to the fact I was wearing something that obviously wasn't a Wigan shirt!

Don't know how I missed seeing you! We're row W 150 - 154!

I'm not the tallest person in the world, and I guess you'll have been closer to the next set of steps away from me. It's possible to missing seeing small people like me!
I wonder if the person who got my Wigan shirt in exchange for the UTC shirt in 2002 came along today? I wanted to know what condition he was in - I'm 5'7" and despite being a little bit overweight I still fit into an adult small shirt. The UTC shirt is XL, meaning I had to have 2-3 additional layers to stop it looking too stupid. But there is someone in Perpignan who normally takes XL with a small size Wigan shirt - I hope he hasn't suffered any injury from the restrictive clothing size?!

If you were one of the ones on the pitch exchanging shirts after the game, MrsLam wants a photo!
