Hock approached by Canbera?????

Speaking to Royal Marine takin part in a sponsered bike ride yesterday. He told me an old friend of his who was in the special forces has been employed by Wigan RLFC as a personal trainer for Gareth Hock. He went on to say that Canbera Raiders offered him a 3 year deal wen his ban was up, but he declined it and signed a 5 year contract to finish his career at wigan because they have been so loyal to him throughout his career. Apparently he is training the house down at DW gym. Anyone else heard anything along these lines or maybe seen him at the gym??

Hope the 5yrs is true,and at WIGAN.IMO Gareth is the HOTTEST 2nd rower in Super League and we miss him badley.
Yes he has made a mistake, but you would think that the club should have taken a bit more" duty of care "in guiding him,as this was the reason given by B Noble for not giving Sam T his chance earlier.

Hock would be wise to stay in this country, although the Australians rate him highly as a player the press were not overly nice to him when GB went to Australia a few years ago.

I think if he went to Australia now the press would be on his back all the time and he would not be able to enjoy his rugby.

As i said before he is the HOTTEST 2nd rower in S L, and I would sooner have him outstanding here at WIGAN.

The club should do everything poss to help him and retain him for the future at WIGAN,and NOT let him slip to another SL club nevermind an NRL club.

He has made a mistake, but he AND THE CLUB can turn this INTO A BIG POSITIVE if handled proffesionaly.

Hock has had a 5 year deal from day 1 of his ban on the proviso he kept testing clean and showed he was taking steps to improve himself.
