Regarding the match it seems both teams made similar errors, most notably due to the weather and the bbc gmr commentators suggested it may be the design of the ball which could be at fault in most wet-cases.

The difference though was that Wigan took their chances and tightened up our defence. It seems we have been working hard on this leaky pipe we've been having the past 2 months and really tightened up. I think Wakey got over our line twice but held up. Well done to the staff and players for their commitment to keeping a low score... and without O'Loughlin too who's our top tackler.

I think the only major worry now is O'Loughlin out for next week, depending on the diagnosis. Saying that Saints have a few injuries too.

if anyone went how did roberts look?

Scrappy at times from both sides, but we were always by far the better side (as John Kear admits, to be fair to him!). Joel and Sam should play a game every day - if anything they both looked even better than usual - as did Sean before his injury (which looked like a simple strain, nothing to do with having played yesterday.

Roberts looked sharp, though perhaps still not back to his pre-injury very high standard. Farrell was outstanding, especially considering he wouldn't have expected to have to come on so early, but it's probably fair to say we actually didn't miss Lockers that much, which is testament to how well Liam filled in. Pat, as always, was superb, KP took his tries well, as usual, but still can't capitalise on being sent clear...so the jury is still out! The pack did well in difficult conditions; I thought Prescott had one of his better games for us.

Much bigger win than I was expecting - 2010 aggregate score v Wakey is 102-20, which is kinda nice!

I'd say the paint is well and truly dry. :)

We did everything asked of us and got another 2 points.Wakey however are dire and Kear could not blame our tactics this time.Pat Richards was outstanding and in general we played fairly well in difficult conditions.Hope Lockers is fit for next week,we wiil need him.

You have a very clever wit Marc, you never fail to make me laugh with your one-liners
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
