difference - missed lockers badly
- not good enough over the 80 mins
- forward pass, knock on that led to roby try
- paddy dropping ball for the sitter of a try
- sometimes looked clueless in attack

Jesus I hope you're joking!

Lockers was the difference. And despite my previous thread about Bentham he was pretty much flawless apart from the 'dead in goal' incident which should have been picked by the touch judges.

Gutted. But not cheated. Oh well 1-1.

Lockers was a big differance, a massive loss to us. Our youngsters matched there youngsters. Our tactics were very good. And our attack in the final 3rd was also v-good.

They were missing 6 players, we were missing 2. 2 of the best tacklers in the league bar none.

Cant grumble at all, exept for Melis try which imo sould have never have stood.
I agree apart from Meli's try. Definately a try IMO.

I hate it but he scored

Fair try Meli's sadly. Feka should have made it harder, if need be risked a penalty whilst Amos should have kicked the skin off his fingers.

I don't think we put enough pressure on Flannery / Meli.

think wigan are their own worst enemy at times.I think meli's try was as soft as they come, he had no right to score from there. The play leading up to the Roby try had a blatant forward pass and i think a fumble.I dont care want anyone says karl Price is SHITE. Yes he scores trys but the ones i see he basically falls over the bleedin line.People knock Fielden but but this guy couldnt break wind let alone a tackle he makes a good metre on each run.His positional game when he is in defence at times is non existant,he knows he is somewhere in Wigan but where he isnt sure :doz:.I think it was a great effort at times but we should have put them to bed in the first 20 to 30 minutes. And the most anoying thing is we cant really blame the ref :D

We have been conceding too many points for a number if weeks now. Against lesser sides than Saints we have got away with it but we didn't today.

Defence wins matches and last week apart our recent record defensively is not good with us regularly conceding over 20 points. If people think we only have a defensive problem because Lockers is out I think they need to look at the recent defensive stats when he had been in the side. They don't read any better.

The game was lost at 16-2 because we gave them a 16 point start and the defence for all three first half tries was rubbish. The one from the scrum was a walk-in and Meli should never have scored that try.

After half time we played better but it was too late as Saints were not going to get nilled in the 2nd half.

Defence wins matches and poor defence costs you games and it cost us today.
