Same ref, another loss... but this time i didn't think he was the reason for our loss... maybe just coincidence afterall.

He was a contributory factor just as he was in all the defeats. We are capable of winning inspite of Bentham though. Sadly, it does raise questions re Cumming's position and/or the validity of full time referees. IMO full time referees has not meant better officiating.

I didn't think the ref was as controversial as other games, notably Leeds... if we hadn't had bentham in our previous losses i wouldn't think anything of it based on his performance today.

But bentham aside there are decisions seen in games each week that either get oenalised or don't and can turn a game. Cunningham for instance, wellens ripping ball out near the end etc...

there is no consistancy we need an overhaul maybe even bring back Klein from Oz or one or two others who won't be influenced

He is from Warrington so it explains it all really, I bet he if from Golbourne and has a chip on his shoulder about it changing to the Wigan borough all those years ago. Or maybe he used to get bullied by Wigan fans at work. Or maybe he is actullay a Stains fan.

He was better that I thought he would be. Still missed some important decisions but no doubt Saints would say the same. Overall he was reasonabley neutral compared to Leeds loss at least.

Sorry to disagree but in my opinion a game as big as Wigan v stains should be refereed by a Yorkshireman.
Bentham is from Warrington who funnily enough are our closest rivals. If it turns out stains move into second place you can bet odds on Mr (I only live 50 yards from the dump)Ganson will get the Wigan v Warrington game.
Anyone else on my wavelength.

Surely there has to be an inquest, we've lost 4 games all season and each game he has refereed.

Would rather have Ganson, we seem to be more successful when he is ref

If he was old enough to have been upset by that he would now be far too old to referee!
