Whiners through to Wembley...

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Whiners through to Wembley...

Post by onedego »

Well, after a very well played first half, Saints made too many mistakes in the second, and the Whiners got the score at the end of the day.

As per usual, Whiners played like a bunch of thugs, even down to Bailey jumping into tackles with knees, and giving away a penalty for a high tackle...

Maybe the RFL will take regret this week and ban the dirty dangerous git!

Hopefully Wolves will beat Dragons tomorrow, because i think that Wolves are the ones to wipe that smile of Leeds face!

It was like watching a puppy being crushed... I didn't want anyone to win but obviously it had to be Leeds... Just hope Catalans beat Wire tomorrow. Lee Smith is a mouthy bugger the last 15 minutes he was constantly having a go at the linesman.

Saints fail to close the gap on Wigan in CC wins, which is nice to hear

Enjoyable game due to the lead changing hands so much. The standard in many respects was poor and exemplifies why we struggle internationally. The decision making at times was very poor with ball in hand and discipline found wanting. No Eastmond and Pryce made Saints very weak and they had to be close to the Leeds try line to score although they did very well to expose the vulnerability of Burrow's goal line defence. You always felt Leeds had more strike power and that should equate to a win albeit they nearly blew it. What on Earth was Wilkin doing with the chip kick. Not convinced re the penalties for late tackles and two missed forward passes for tries thankfully cancelled each other out. How many times has KC got away with that little ploy lol.

Proof positive why consistency over a season is the true measure of how good a team really is given a knockout match can be severely affected by injuries and/or referee calls. The greater the number of game the greater the reduction in luck being a determining factor.

Leeds v Warrington final = Not interested, will probably be a good game but I can't stand either of those teams.

Leeds v Catalans final = Supporting Catalans all the way might even try and get a few tickets for the match.

great game. Leeds were holding down but at least they were playing to the whistle, didn't think it was a dirty game at all and Leeds looked good in the second half, they deserved it in my opinion.

Would love to see Catalan get through this afternoon they have nothing else to aim for this year so they will be all out to get that win today and if Briers gets roughed up a bit what a bonus.(he has such a smug smile).
