McCormack quits to become a teacher
Re: McCormack quits to become a teacher
It was either Mr Aspinall or Mr Birchall. Aspinall sounds more familiar

Re: McCormack quits to become a teacher
Sounds like Aspinall. He was into golf, cricket and horse racing.

It was Deryk Byrchall. He was RL crackers.

Dennis McHugh was an outstanding RL man. Tough disciplinarian in the right way but very knowledgeable and moved with the times.

When you say "was", is he still around?cpwigan wrote:Dennis McHugh was an outstanding RL man. Tough disciplinarian in the right way but very knowledgeable and moved with the times.

Dennis Mchugh was our RL Coach when I was at Winstanley, Paul Deacon was in that team so you can imagine we were quite competative. When we were struggling the cry often went up "Deaks do one" followed by the inevitable score afterwards!! Dennis is a great guy and a tough coach he still lives in Billinge. Not sure if he still coaches though.

He is still around Jobo just think he no longer coaches. I may be wrong. The last time I heard of him coaching was with Orrell St James Open Age where he did superbly and since he stopped I think they have gone backwards in the comp.jobo wrote:When you say "was", is he still around?cpwigan wrote:Dennis McHugh was an outstanding RL man. He certainly new how to get the best out of players and I'm glad he's still around. If ever a bloke had rugby league in his blood then it was Denis.cpwigan wrote:He is still around Jobo just think he no longer coaches. I may be wrong.
