I did say it had happened earlier in the weekDobby wrote:The injury had already occurred before the game, I believe an accident with a lawnmower that sliced the top of his finger. It was stiched up and he wasnt even going to play earlier in the week. He must have just aggravated it at some point in the game.cpwigan wrote:My question is how did it happen? Studs / blades are supposedly checked before matches and nothing should be sharp enough to cause such damage.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

If he isn't right he shouldn't play. better to have him fully fit next week.
also if he has to go off again it means re-shuffling which IMO is what cost us on sunday.

I would suggest it may take more time to heal.Remember this is a flesh/nerve ending injury.I many years ago split the top of my finger open on a mini fanblade. It took weeks to heal the nerve endings in you fingertips are incredibly painful.
Re: George Carmont
He's not playing on Sunday. Goulding & Marsh in the centres, Roberts on the wing, Charnley on the bench.
Pryce back in the U20's.

In an ideal world perhaps your right but I also think Sam is enjoying himself at FB and this gives us more options and I dont think Amos is back at his best he needs more game time on the wing which is his natural position to give him more confidence. Time is running out now as we come up to the play off,s and our injury list gets longer.I am woried that we are down to only one topclass prop in Coley in this game and I am sure we will pay for it against HKR. I think a message went out from Brown to wind up Fielden because he looked very pleased with the out come of the fight and now we are another prop down because of it. I wish Fielden could see how some coaches are now seeing how easy it is to wind him up and hope to get him sent offplatt-warrior wrote:sorry Downunder but imo your wrong.Sam's posn is 6 as Amos's is fb.All their best work has been done in their natural posn's ie 6 and fb.

Don't think a deliberate stamp counts as winding up. Can't think of the last time prior to the Hud game that Fielden reacted, despite loads of provocation.nellywelly wrote:In an ideal world perhaps your right but I also think Sam is enjoying himself at FB and this gives us more options and I dont think Amos is back at his best he needs more game time on the wing which is his natural position to give him more confidence.
